40. True Battle Begins

  "She's here"

 
  Golden eyes shone and from the darkness the sea witch emerged.

  Hair as black as the shadows, pale skin and long serpentine tail, menacing aura sending shivers through every living thing around. No doubt Orotsu had arrived and things were about to get ugly.

  Sasuke squeezed his fist tightly to try and maintain his composure. He was scared, but he wasn't going to let his enemy know that.

  Naruto gripped sasuke's hand. "Get a hold of yourself we have to stay alert, and be prepared to fight any minute."

  Sasuke took deep breaths to calm himself down. He still didn't know how naruto managed to stay calm and even motivate others in these type of situations.

  "I presume that you all know who I am, but for those who don't I am the Sea Witch and your future ruler Orotsu. Now I have just one question which of you wants to die first?"

   Sakura was irritated and angry, the sea witch came as she wished and thought she could just play with them. Sakura began drawing her sword. Hinata stopped her quickly.

   "No, you would just be doing what she wants. We have to form a plan or she'll kill us all. In my vision she was weak against elemental attacks and light energy, but she just regenerates from any physical attack. I believe we can weaken her if we attack from a distance, because if we get close we'll get sucked in by her shadows."

   "Thank you Hinata." Sakura said now we can start forming a strategy. Ino, Ino!" Sakura called. Ino swam closer to answer sakura's call. Sakura was quite glad to see that her blonde friend was safe.

   "Ino can you mind link everyone around here, I need you to explain our strategy to them." Sakura said.

   "Sakura, there's so many people here, I don't think I can do it."

   "Please Ino, you have to try you're our only hope! I need you to tell everyone that those who have elemental gifts should and those without should be on standby ready to help when it's needed."

   Ino nodded and began to focus. Her gift was strange, she could enter people's minds and control them to an extent, she could also send her thoughts to people but she'd only successfully done that with two people at once but sakura needed her to do it with about 50 at once. She closed her eyes focusing on her environment and the people people around her. Then she felt it she'd managed to link with all of them, but she could already feel the strain on her mind.

   "Listen up!" People were shocked as they suddenly heard a voice in their head. "the princess has a plan, she wants everyone who has elemental gifts to join her. The rest of you stand back but be ready to fight at any time."
Ino ended the link and nearly passed out. Luckily sakura caught her and Katsuyu got to work.

   Soon different mer-people began to come forward while the others stayed back.

  "So what are we going to do?" Mikoto asked.
  Sakura was taken aback for a second. She didn't realize that Mikoto had elemental gifts. She quickly regained composure and cleared her throat.

   "The witch is weak against light and elemental attacks. Hinata can use light energy, I want everyone to add their element natures to it so that we can form a large scale attack."

   Hinata began to form another sphere of light. Mikoto added a charge of electricity to it, some others added fire, wind, water and earth. Soon Hinata's light attack became a huge glowing orb of several colors. Hinata threw it with all her might.

   Orotsu who had grossly underestimated them slightly began to panic. She held up several barriers but they just got broken down. She got hit at once and it created a massive explosion of light. Orotsu was screaming. How could they possibly know her weaknesses. By the time the effects of the attack wore off the shadows had dissipated and Orotsu was injured, and angry.

   "How dare you, how dare you!" She snapped her fingers at once but nothing happened, she did it again and still nothing. She was even angrier now.

   "You! You think you can make a fool of me! How did you break out of my control!" She went straight for sakura with full speed.

   Sakura didn't know how to act. She didn't know what the witch meant and she was suddenly closing in on her. She was moving so fast. Was this how she died? Orotsu was right in front of her, her right hand charged with dark energy. It all happened in a blur.

  "Sakura!" "Sakura-san!"

   Orotsu's right arm was no longer part of her body.
