48. Home On The Surface

   As soon as they disappeared they reappeared on top of the sea in a ship.

  "Woah! This ship is huge." Naruto exclaimed.

  Mikoto, Sakura, Hinata and Karin were in identical white dresses, even the boys had magical clothe change.  The Oracle was very considerate. They didn't even need to steer the ship, it just moved on its own.

  "The Oracle is really something." Suigetsu said.

 
  "Land, land, land, sweet dry land." Naruto was dancing around the ship at this time. Hinata just laughed quietly.

  "Hinata, dance with me! You'll love it on the land!!!"

  Sasuke just watched them quietly. He couldn't really believe that all this was happening. From winning a ship to finding out that his mom was alive and a mermaid to going on a quest to save her, finding Suigetsu and his friends, meeting Sakura, saving both his mother and Ame. Now the woman he'd come to love was by his side, his mother was safe and sound and all his friends were happy. The whole thing seemed surreal.

   For once Sasuke just smiled. He was so caught up in his own little space that he didn't realize how quiet the ship was and that everyone else was staring at him and Sakura.

   "Who knew sasuke could smile!!!!" Naruto screamed

  "They are so cute!" Mikoto was fangirling and shaking Suigetsu's shoulder.

   "I know, I know." Suigetsu said clearly tired of being shaken so harshly.

  Karin just snorted and turned away, clearly jealous.

  Jugo was actually smiling, and Hinata was trying to get Naruto to stop yelling.

  Sakura was blushing so hard you could almost mistake her for Hinata.

  After a long ride with lots of laughing and teasing they finally arrived at their destination. The minute they got on land the ship gradually disappeared. It was night time so they were safe from suspicious eyes.

  "Oh no, no, no, no ,no. I'm so dead."

  "Naruto-kun, what's wrong?"

"My mom is going to kill me!!! I told her I was going on a little ship adventure with Sasuke. She probably thought that I would be gone for some few days or a week tops, but we've spent more than a month on Sea!!! And if dad is back, they're both going to kill me noooooo!!!"

   "Now I feel sorry for the guy. Don't worry Naruto I'll attend your funeral."

  "That's not very encouraging Suigetsu."

  Naruto and Hinata took a different road that led to Naruto's house. It was too dark for Suigetsu Karin and Jugo to go their place so they just followed sasuke to crash at his house for the night.
  Sakura was excited to see where Sasuke lived and meet his grandma.

  
   "We're here." Sasuke said.

Mikoto was holding back tears. Sasuke could understand, the last time she was here she was leaving her only son and the man she loved, the man whom she'd never be able to see again. Sasuke felt himself getting sad as well, he missed his dad too.

  They hadn't even knocked when the door flew open and an old lady with faded black hair rushed out and pulled sasuke into an embrace.

  "Granny Luna!" Mikoto joined the hug as well and finally let her tears flow freely.

  The next morning Sasuke told his grandma everything that had happened.

  "I see you're no different from your father, finding a pretty mermaid girl to fall in love with." Grandma Luna said and laughed causing Sakura to blush deeply.

  "You're welcome here dear." Sakura nodded Grandma Luna was really sweet and for an old lady she was quite energetic. Teasing Sasuke also seemed to be one of the things she enjoyed.

  After Breakfast Suigetsu decided it was time for them to leave. He needed to see what state his apartment was in.

   Sasuke and Sakura had to go to Naruto's place to help him explain things to his parents. When they got there everything was calm the Uzumaki's and Hinata were having breakfast. Apparently they took Naruto's explanation quite well, but Naruto had a red hand print on his face courtesy his mother for making her worry.

  Life went back to normal Mikoto got a job Hinata and Sakura were adjusting well to life in the surface.

  Most surprising of all Suigetsu and Karin started dating. Karin actually became good friends with Sakura.

Everything was perfect.

~five years later~

   "Boruto! Sarada! Come on!" Sakura called out to Hinata's little boy and her daughter who were off playing in the sand.

  "Grandma, Aunt Tsunade, and Aunt Ino and little inojin will be here any minute now, you don't want to miss them!"

  Hearing that the kids ran over happily.

  "Thank you for getting them back Sakura." Hinata said with a smile. She couldn't really move much since she was 7 months pregnant so Sakura had been helping her out with Boruto a lot. Over the years she and sakura had become really close like sisters.

 
  Naruto and Sasuke were nearby having some kind of teasing contest with Mika. Fina just watched them.

  Sakura stood up her white dress  was flowing with the wind. She smiled as she remembered that this was the same dress that she had wanted five years ago when Sasuke took her to a boutique. He actually bought it for her as a present on her birthday, the first one she celebrated on the surface.

  She looked around, she was more than satisfied with everything life had given her Friends, family, children. There was nothing more she could ask for.
