The Mermaid Princess (sasusaku Story)

24. Meeting the Sea Witch.

   The word Furious could not begin to describe how the queen currently felt. Not only had the princess escaped but she had actually joined the resistance. This is the same resistance that she swore to destroy. To make matters worse those lowly mer-folk had the audacity to sneak into her palace and release her prisoners.

   In a fit of rage the queen flung the mirror in her hand across the room only missing Shizune's head by a few inches. Shizune forcefully swallowed the lump in her throat. If the queen found out that she was working as a spy here, that would be the end for her.

   Back at the hideout Ino and Sakura had finally sorted out everything between them and we're back to being their normal selves again.

  "We're running low on food supplies." Tsunade said.

  "I could help in gathering some, there are plenty of healthy plants and fruit around here." Sakura said.

  "Me too." Ino added.

 
  "Then it's settled, Sakura and Ino will gather food, and I will be leaving for some time I have somewhere important to be."

 
  "Where are you going aunt?" Sakura asked.

  "There's a friend I need to see, but I will be back soon." Tsunade replied.
   With that Sakura and Ino left with bags to gather the plants. Few minutes after they left Tsunade left too to make sure she wasn't seen. But Sakura caught sight of her tail.

  "Ino, can you help me with the rest? I just saw aunt Tsunade and I have a feeling something suspicious is going on, so I'm going to follow her."

 
   "You have started again with these adventures of yours. Just make sure to be safe ok."

  "Thanks a lot Ino, you're the best." Sakura swam towards the direction that Tsunade went. She needed to slow down her pace so that she wouldn't get caught.
   Sakura kept following Tsunade till she started getting to waters that were not familiar to her at all. She saw Tsunade swim into some kind of lair, but she was too scared to go any further the place gave her chills all over. What could possibly be in there?

   Tsunade arrived at Orotsu's lair and went in without even bothering to knock.

  "I'm beginning to doubt your powers witch!"

  "Darling Tsuna what brings you here and what makes you so angry?" Orotsu asked in her sickly sweet voice as she circled around Tsunade.

  "You said my niece was dead but she's alive and sound. Mebuki was supposed to give the order to execute Mikoto but instead you turned her into a tyrant that's threatening the peace and safety of Ame. Yet Mikoto is still alive. How do I know I'm not being played? How do I know you're not using me as a pawn to achieve your own goals?"

   "Tsuna everything that has been happening is in your own favour. The queen has become a tyrant, this is more reason for the people to want her off the throne. Now you have the resistance full of people who look up to you as their queen. These are potential followers who would support you in overthrowing the Queen."

   "You said Mikoto has to be dead, then why isn't she!?

  "Be patient and allow these things unfold. Patience is the key, patience."

  "Don't disappoint me." Tsunade turned and left.

   Sakura saw her aunt exiting the place. She hid behind some rocks to make sure she wasn't seen. Few minutes later she lifted her head only to be met with Yellow snake eyes. Sakura was frozen in fear she could not move neither could she scream.

   "My, my, look at what we have here. Tsuna's little niece. "
