I had knocked like five minutes ago. What was that man doing inside?
I was allowed to enter.
Well finally."Ah miss Caswell, such a pleasure. Sit please".
"I'd prefer to stand sir".
He tsked at me " you were always a bright student, I don't know what happened. You got your fifth F this week didn't you?"Well sure, just start dishing out the obvious facts.
"yes sir, I did"
" are you having issues at home or something, you can tell the counselor about it"
Yeah, sure.
"no sir"
"I propose a tutor for you Miss Caswell"
"no sir, I'd rather not have one"
"then a meeting with you and your parents"
"I'd love to have a tutor. Thank you sir"
I cleared my throat hastily as he eyed me suspiciously
I smiled and shrugged.
He seemed taken aback. Apparently smiling "lighted up my face". I rarely did.He still wanted to question me but since I had taken his proposition, he probably didn't want me to change my mind
He gave me a slip to the school counselor. "Ms. North"
She would assign me a tutor. How exciting.
I then walked to her office and knocked. I hadn't really been here before but I had seen her around, willowy and pretty
She was sweet but I knew she could be tough"sit, please, miss Lacey"
"I'd rather.."
"sit"
I sat.
"One tutor coming up"
I blew air out of my mouth irritably and waited. I didn't have to wait too long"Hey miss North, what's up?"
