The lights went off then came back on again and Emery was on the stage in a fiery red dress and with the microphone in her hand.

Is there the smell of incoming drama or is it just me?

Murmurs started going around as I saw the chaperones frantically moving about.

" Now now relax, I'm just here to say something to you all."
She sat on a stool and I was spooked because I didn't know where it came from.
" I've got an issue with you all, student body. You're all so biased and prejudiced and it doesn't really occur to you that even though you think some of us are "popular and rich", it's you, the masses whose decisions affect us all. "

Wow, she sounds like she's running for president.

" Basically. You guys weren't nice at all. And I'd like to apologize to Lacey my best friend, if she doesn't totally hate me, Id like to apologize for everything I said and did and for totally ghosting her. She's an awesome person and she's got problems maybe but we've all got problems. That's the thing. Don't single some people out because they look like they're living the life. We're all human"

There was silence. Then someone repeated the phrase "we're all human"
And then it became a chant as Emery gave a turn and curtsied then she laughed " I'm glad we all get that but I didn't come here to just give a speech, what type of lame party crashing is that. If I'm going to. Be expelled, I should leave with a bang don't you think?"

She winked at me then suddenly there was a loud sound as glitter Bombs exploded everywhere. The lights went off again and strobe lights came on as Emery favorite music played in the background. Everyone started to dance.
She was no longer on the stage.

I run out and saw her, a few chaperones were standing there looking angry. One was on the phone with the black hole.
She saw me and run to me and we hugged. She was crying. I tried to soothe her.
"Lacey why don't you talk? When things happen?"
I breathed out "Erin was always so vicious and violent with her words. From when I was young I decided to never do that else I'd be like her"
" You can never be like Erin. You're more than that. You're our ice queen with the Laces"
She gave a laugh at her lame joke and hugged me again "I'll text you" " you better, young lady".
As she was taken away, nick, Joey and Tess came to stand beside me. Kendall and Abby followed. And the rest of the glittered school stood outside as we watched Emery being taken away.

" What do you mean I should come to SWEET AND SPICY MAYHEM. It's  a Sunday! . Okay fine! But just because you said it was an emergency"

I huffed as I got back into the car and drove. I wondered what was up. When I reached there I stopped short. The lights were off, seriously. I thought Joey said Mrs. Keene was there. Sigh. I guess I'd have to wait.

I went inside and put the lights on.
" SURPRISE!!"

I couldn't contain my shock. They started singing happy birthday for me. Joey, Carter, Mr. Holt, Mrs Keene, Tessa, Ingrid, Kendall, Abby, Mia everyone. And most importantly Emery. She gave me one of her legendary winks as I smiled with tears in my eyes..
Everything wasn't totally okay.
