TROY
I winced at the bright light when I opened my eyes. My head throbbed in pain as I tried to sit up. My eyes focused on my surroundings and I realized I was in a hospital room, hooked to machines by my arms.
My attention was drawn to the door opening suddenly. A nurse walked in and I couldn't help but look her over.
She was beautiful.
She looked petite under that uniform and I can only assume. Her hair was a pale fiery red and her skin was pale. As she neared, I noticed the light freckles on her nose and lightly spread on her cheeks.
"Good morning, Mr. King. I am Nurse Bianchi." She smiled, and I had to admit she's drawing me in. "How are you feeling?"
"Okay..." I managed to croak.
"Voice a bit raspy. I'll get you some water. Does anything hurt?" Her voice was smooth.
I inhaled then exhaled. It was just something about her. I don't know why but I want to know her. I normally don't go for white women nor red heads but it was something about her. I was not a racist man but I have a preference.
"No."
She hums and writes something down on the clipboard. She then takes a seat in one of the chairs. She looks at me with a curious gaze and it makes me shift under her uncomfortable stare.
"Do you remember anything before being admitted to the hospital?"
Not all but enough. "It was fuzzy at first but I regained most of my memory."
"You were infected by a great deal of some type of stimulant. It's strange because we've never got the test results on what type of drug was in your system at the time."
I rubbed my face thinking of much details I could piece together. It was all a haze but I do remember showing up to my sister's house. I don't know what was exchange but I remember Tiana holding me at gun point and Eva with a bat. Then I...hurt my sister. Fvck.
I went grab the covers, to take them off me so I can leave when my left wrist clanged against the bed rail. I frowned, looking down and I was shocked to see myself hand cuffed to the bed.
"What the fvck is this?" I growled out angrily while looking up at the beauty.
Her calm expression made me all the more anxious of my position.
She stood to her height and by the looks of it, I would be taller if I stood. She placed the clipboard on the table next to me and her look got serious.
