Few Days Before
CARTRON

I lifted the hand weight carefully before sitting it back down. I exhaled a slow breath while letting my body adjust to my current position. It's been two months since what that bitch did to me and my body was still getting use to things. I am not as young as I used to be and now that I am older and my body is going through changes due to my aging, it takes a while to get back on track.

A hard knock took me away from my thoughts. I waved to a loyal guard and he opened the door. It was Clarissa and she didn't look too happy. I smirked knowingly. She looked horrible.

Ace had made his choice. With the deal I made with him, I didn't expect him to be natural. But it appears that didn't go well on Clarissa's end. I guess my daughter had him wrapped around her finger.

In the beginning, I didn't expect Ace to evolve and gain feelings for Camille but as we all witnessed, nothing was going the way it was planned to.

Carter was supposed to be dead along with his bodyguard, Rick. My plan was simple in the beginning and that was to have my granddaughter in my possession and that bitch and my horrible excuse of a son was suppose to be dead. Seems luck was on his side when I got the last report that he was alive and his position was unknown.

Though I might have known where Camille resides thanks to Clarissa staying on top of Ace, I had yet to find out where my son resided.

"Bad day?" I queried, lifting the weight. I also noticed she was injured in her leg. The guard helped her to sit and she did so with a harsh feminine grunt.

"You could say that, sir."

I waved someone over to help her with her leg and I moved over a bit to get a closer look at her injury. Clean shot. The bullet was still lodged in and she made a good call to wrapping a long cloth around it.

"Who shot you?"

The man I assigned to fix her leg handled it with care and pulled the bullet out causing her to scream in pain.

"Why, Camille herself of course." She grunts painfully at the final pull of the bullet.

I was not shocked at all. Camille was short-tempered like her brother. Just a more lenient with her actions because in reality, she has a heart for those who don't deserve it. That's what makes her weak in my eyes.

"Did you tell her about Ace?"

Clarissa nods. "I did and I will have a scar to prove it."

"Good," I smirked. "That means Ace will be out the picture for a while."

"How do you know?"

I sighed frustratedly. "One thing I hated was how close my children were to one another and will always protect one from doing what they are meant to do for me. No doubt Camille will be telling Carter soon. But that's after she confronts Ace about everything. I know she will."

Another knock was heard from the door of the hotel I resided in and I waved for my same guard to go and open it. When he did, things couldn't get any better. Brian walked inside and with a prize in his hand.

"Brian," I nod towards the feeble figure of the man with a bag over his head. "Is this our special guest?"

Brian tossed the man at my feet and he lets out a painful noise.

"Sure is, sir," Brian smirks, leaning down and pulling off the bag, revealing the one that will be the key to ensure that I get my bastard granddaughter.

"How are you, Curt?" I questioned nonchalantly as I took in his swollen face. Brian did a number on him. He looked at the ground, not saying a word. "I see this is going to be fun." I look to Brian and he read my expression.
