TIANA FEW DAYS LATER
"Who's my pretty baby," I cooed, while bathing Cariana in the baby tub in the sink. Her cute baby noises made me smile.
I kissed her small button nose a couple of times, earning a gummy smile.
I chuckled. I love my little bean so much. Even though she likes her daddy more than me. But it's okay. I made silly faces and she was giggling softly. My babygirl was officially two months today.
I heard the sound of Carter's crutches entering the kitchen making me tense. Tension between us was still heavy. He slept on the couch and I on the bed with Cari. Yeah, I locked him out because I was pissed and frustrated with him but I unlocked the door when I got up again.
"Morning." I heard him say.
"Goodmorning." I respond lowly while finishing up Cariana's bath.
Once I rinsed her out throughly, I grabbed the towel and wrapped her up in a little bundle. Her baby noises continued and when I turned, I found Carter standing there like he wanted to say something.
"What is it?"
"I need your help." He sighed.
I looked up at him and sighed. "With?"
He stared at me for a long moment before smirking suddenly. "To take a shower."
My eyes went wide. "What?"
"You heard me, babe."
I stared at him in disbelief. Was he serious? After our little thing that happened yesterday? I'm sure he could manage to get all his important parts by himself. Cari began to fuss taking me away from my debating thoughts. I cleared my throat and blinked.
"I'm sure you could manage." I spoke strongly.
I was still upset with him and I had to stay strong and not let his little tricks get to me. He was disrespectful and stubborn yesterday. I walked with Cari in my hands and passed him.
"I really need your help."
"No, Carter. I'm not going to let you get to me. I don't know what you're trying to do but it's not going to make me forget yesterday. So, let's stop now before we dig us a deeper hole."
With that, I walked back to the room and got Cariana together.
I love Carter with everything in me but he needs to learn a few things on his own and letting me know things before actually doing the action. Like calling Mina yesterday to talk about business when the doctor told him to rest.
