A/N: I saw this on Instagram and I got an idea that I really want to write about. This is set when Will and Nico are good friends, but they both know how the other person feels.
Nico's POV:
"Rise and shine, Sunshine," Will said while bursting through my door without knocking. Will has recently been waking me up way too early. He used to knock, now he just comes in. I hate being woken up, but when Will does it, it makes it a little more bearable.
When he closed the door behind him, I just buried my head in my pillow to hide the smile that was slowly creeping onto my lips.
He made his way across the cabin to my bed and fell back on it. I had to move my legs quickly to keep them from being crushed. I sat up and tried to look annoyed at Will, I don't think he bought it because he just smiled.
The way his smile could light up a room was unbelievable.
"We should go do something today." Will states. "Like what?" I ask. I didn't really feel like doing anything around camp, I can guarantee that I've seen everything at this place. "Why don't we go out into the city? You haven't seen much of it, have you?" Will asks. I was a little taken aback by his question. He was right. Even though I had been staying at a camp in Long Island, I had never seen the city when it wasn't a battlefield.
"I would love to get out of camp, but will Chiron even let us go?" With everything that's happened, I doubt Chiron would let me out of the borders. "If you want to go see the city than that's what we'll do. You let me worry about Chiron." As Will finished his sentence, he left the cabin.
I couldn't hold back my excitement. I was finally going to see the city. I have wanted to see the city for a while, but I have been so busy training I just haven't gotten around to it.
About an hour later, Will came back into my cabin, all ready to leave. "Chiron said yes. Get ready." Before I could reply, he was gone.
I started to get ready. I quickly pulled on some black jeans and my favorite black, skull t-shirt. Not that you could tell it was any different from the rest, but this one just feels right.
When I was done getting ready, I left my cabin and found Will waiting right outside.
I had no idea how he got Chiron so let us go, but I didn't want to talk about that right now. I just wanted to be with Will and see the city.
When we got out of the car in a parking lot outside what looked like an office building, Argus drove off. "C'mon Sunshine," Will said while he started to walk off. As I was catching up to him I said "What have I said about that nickname?" "Oh, you love it." Will joked. I would never admit it to him, but he was right.
We kept walking and chatting until we came to a busy street. When we were about to cross, Will took my hand. I turned to look up at him. "What are you doing?" I ask. He looks at me with a smirk. "People say you should hold the hand of your elder when crossing the street." He says. "I'm fourteen." I shoot back. "Mmm, but technically your, like, ninety-six." I couldn't argue with that, he was right.
While we crossed the street, I couldn't help but notice how nicely our hands fit together. It was like two puzzle pieces joining together.
When we got to the other side of the street, I was afraid Will would pull his hand away. I didn't want him to. Will didn't pull his hand away, so we walked hand in hand for the rest of the time we were out.
A/N: I will try to write about characters other than just Percy and Annabeth, I think I'll do a Mortals meet Frazel next. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
