3rd person POV:

BRING

The last bell of the day finally rang. Everyone headed to their lockers to grab their books including Percy Jackson. After gabbing his books from his locker he went in the opposite direction of the crowd. Instead of going out the doors and heading home, he went to the pool where he practices for the swim team.

Today, however, he didn't swim. He simply sat at the bottom of the pool thinking about his life. He thought about how much he missed camp, Annabeth, and all his other friends.

Percy's not stupid. He made sure to check that no one was in the pool area because if someone caught him, it would look pretty weird.

He stayed at the bottom of the pool just thinking and relaxing.

The swim coach, Coach Gibbson, was on his way out when he noticed someone at the bottom of the pool. He wasn't sure if he should grab the kid and pull him out or wait. He didn't know how long they had been down there.

Coach Gibbson decided he would wait about thirty seconds and if the kid didn't come up, then he would go in after him.

Thirty seconds later, the kid still didn't come up for air. 'He has been down there for at least a minute, he needs my help.' thought Coach Gibbson. Coach Gibbson pulled off his shoes and shirt, and dived into the pool.

He swam to the bottom of the eight-foot deep pool and grabbed the kids by the arm. When they got to the surface, he was sure he was going to need to get the nurse or call 911, but surprisingly the kid said, "What!?" Gibbson whipped his head away from the first-aid kit he had grabbed, and looked at the kid withed a shocked expression.

"How are you still alive?!" He asked. Coach Gibbson knew there was only one way he could stay under water that long. You had to be a son of Poseidon, and that was very unlikely, as there hadn't been one for a very long time, or at least that he'd heard about. 'I guess it's possible' Gibbson thought 'I mean, I haven't been to camp in ten years so there's probably a lot I missed.'

Before the kid could say anymore Gibbson just blurted out "You're a son of Poseiden?" He silently prayed to his dad, Hermes, that he suspected right because if he was wrong, he would have to cover up what he had just said.

He was proven right when the kid--Percy Jackson, he now recognized from the swim team--answered. "How did you-?" "I'm a son of Hermes." Coach interrupted.
