Chapter 85: Research

♣Zack's POV♣

"Hunter what's going on" I shouted but no replied.

"What's wrong" Steve asked.

"I heard an explosion then the line got cut" I answered handing him back the phone.

"I'm sure it was nothing, maybe the TV" he assured.

"No,I think hunter is in trouble you have to let me out" I pleaded.

"No can do" Steve replied.

"I've got rights you know, I can get you sued for this" I threated.

"Go ahead and try, you think all these people are here because they want to break the law, I have a Warrant of arrest for all three of you do you want to read it again. Even if it's fake who will know right" he stated making me want to punch him.

"Steve please for the friendship you and I have let me help him" I pleaded.

"My orders were loud and clear no matter what horrible news we heard about hunter you three aren't leaving this property. Zack I want to help too that's why I'm not standing in his way you should do the same" he stated. I glared at him then walked away.

I walked back into the house then went to my room, luana was there folding some clothes.

"Hey babe" she said then placed a kiss on my lips.

"Hey" I replied then took a seat on the bed.

She got behind me then started massaging my shoulders.

"You seem tense what's wrong" she asked. I sighed.

"You mean apart from being under house arrest for no appropriate reason" I asked.

"I know this is a violation of our rights but I know hunter is only doing this to protect us" she assured. I stood up.

"Protect us my ass. I just wish he was was right now" I boomed.

"Have you tried asking your men" she asked.

"Yes but no one knows where he is and the worst part if they can't help us leave this place because hunter ordered them not to" I replied.

"Even brian" she asked. I turned around and faced her.

"Apparently he so conveniently went on leave now of all times but I have a feeling he knows where hunter is" I answered.

"Zack maybe this is for the best, just let it be. Hunter will be fine I'm sure he already planned this out can you just drop it" she boomed.

"You're right I just can't help but worry" I replied.

She wrapped her hands around me.

"Just relax. Come on let's head to bed" she suggested.

"I still have some work to finish up in my study. Go to bed, I won't take long" I stated. I placed a kiss on her head.

"On your way there please check up on Amanda, I'm worried about her. She doesn't want to talk about it with me but maybe she might if you ask her" she suggested.

"I'll talk to her" I assured.

I left the room then started walking to Amanda's room. I knocked a couple of times and when she didn't answer,I walked in and found her bed was empty only a photo of Hunter laid their.

*Amanda "I called searching the room for her.

No answer. She wasn't in the room neither the bathroom, I started getting worried then started searching for her around the house and found her somewhere I wasn't expecting her to be, the gym working out.
