Chapter 53: Mr Plummer

♣Hunter's POV♣

"What's happening with the shipment. The clients have been complaining they haven't gotten their packages" I asked going through the papers on the desk.

"Well sir there was a problem with the truck but it's been looked into" parker assured.

I was currently in a meeting with the marketing team .

"Well sir, uh the ad campaign boosted our sales by 75%-"I cut him off.

" 75% how did that happen. I want the sales to boost up to the roof. I want a 100% increase in sales "I boomed making everyone stare at me with fear.

" sir that's the level best they can do -"parker tried defending.

"No it's not, call up that fucking ad company and tell them we're canceling the contract" I ordered. They all shared a look.

"But Sir-"

"Are you questioning my decisions,I will not allow H and Z to be second. I want an increase 90% and above" I ordered.

"Yes sir" he submitted.

"I want a copy of the balances for the company right now. Zack said he noticed a huge sum of money was missing-" I was cut off when luana walked into the meeting room looking worried.

I stood up as she walked to me. Was Zack in trouble or something.

"You've got a lot of guts interrupting my meeting luana" I stated. She averted her gaze to the ground.

"I'm-s-s-so-sorry sir but this is important-" she said.

"What is it, spit it out" I ordered.

"Amanda is here sir and she's in pretty bad shape" she said all in one breath. My heart started beating faster.

"What do you mean by that, where is she" I asked.

"With Zack. Please hurry she's crying uncontrollably" luana pleaded.

I ran out of the meeting room then went straight to Zack's office. I found Zack hugging Amanda as she cried into his shirt.

Her clothes were all torn,her hair was all over the place and I could see bruises on her body. My blood began to boil just thinking that someone raised a hand to hit her.

"Amanda" I called. She pulled away from Zack then turned to me making my heart beat triple.

Her face was beaten up, she had marks on her neck and skin. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying. When she saw me, she dropped to her knees.

"It wasn't my fault I swear, I didn't know he would do that. I'm sorry Hunter, please believe me Hunter please" she pleaded crying as if her life depended on it.

I knelt down then gently grabbed her hands, she was shaking. I placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Calm down my love and tell me what happened, I know None of it was your fault. I'll believe you" I assured.

"Here amanda drink this" Zack said handing her a glass of water. She gluped it down.

I picked her up then,me,her and Zack took a seat on the couche he had in his office. Amanda was still sobbing, she wrapped her hand around her chest crying. I took off my jacket then wrapped it around her.

"Luana clear our schedules for today. Tell my assistant too" I ordered. She nodded then left the office.

After awhile she kinda calmed down a bit. Enough for her to talk.
