• Hunter's POV •
Six month, two weeks, three days, twelve hours, fifty- one minutes and seven seconds that's how long I've been without my beloved.
I had been watching over her for six good months, staying my distance giving her space but my patience was wearing thin. Six month was a long time right.
I got angry when I heard a guy asked her out. You see I had someone look over her and that said person saw that guy asking her out which made me lose it.
I killed him and threw him off the roof after torturing him and writing the note to my dear vixen. I purposeful wrote only the letter V to make her more nervous and to build suspense in her.
Like when I texted her a goodnight, I must have scared her a lot but I really did what her to have a good night.
I was seated in the house I bought here in San Francisco. It wasn't as huge as the one I had back in Los Angeles, it was medium and cozy and that was OK with me.
Zack also bought a house but rarely slept there because I invited him over to my house often to help with my victims or just to hang out.
I checked the time and saw it was close to midnight, my beloved was asleep by then but yet I was wake because I had yet another nightmare.
They happened everyday so I was used to it. So I was laying in bed on my bed watching my love sleep beside my little sister in law.
Yes I had cameras in her house, I just wanted to know if she was safe at all times.
My phone started ringing beside me. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was the inspector.
"What do you want" I asked as soon as I answered.
"Uh sir, there is uh a girl here" he said shuttering a bit.
He was scared of me because as I said, I had connections everywhere. The police were powerless against me, not even the FBI could harm me because I could bend the law to my favor. The things money can do right.
Yes you might be thinking if I was so influential why did I keep my Mafia life a secret. It was really because of Zack, because he wanted it to be a secret and anything he asked of me,I gave.
"So" I asked irritated.
"She filed a case against you and claims she saw you killing that rob fellow" he said making me remove the laptop from my lap then stand up from bed.
"Where is she" I asked.
"She is here. We told her we had to wait for someone to take her statement" he said and I ran a hand in my hair.
"I'll be there in half an hour" I said then hang up.
I put on my shirt since I already had a pare of sweatpants on. I jogged downstairs then went to my car.
The moon was high and bright, it was a dead cold night. Perfect for killing.
That girl messed with the wrong person, why would she even dare go to the cops to report me. I don't blame because that was the normal thing to do but want she did wrong was file a case against me of all people.
I arrived at the police station and as soon as I walked in,everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at me. No one dared move or say a thing as I walked.
I went straight to the inspector's office and found him pacing up and down.
"Where is she" I asked making him freeze in his tracks.
