Chapter 12, Lockdown

*The Next Day*

*Kayla's POV*

Yesterday was crazy! Last night, Sammy and I didnt stay in the house. We went over to my Dad's house and stayed over for the night. Zak, Nick, Aaron, Billy and Jay went back to their hotel that they're staying in. I had a dream last night. In my dream, I was in the town. The town was empty, all buldings and shops were shut down, no one was around, no cars, nothing. I didnt know what was going on. I remember turning around and see the man in the black coat and black hat standing at the end of the street, I took off running and he chased me, he managed to catch me, he pins me against the wall, he was about to take off his sunglasses, until I woke up. It was a werid dream. I still I had to go to work today. I'm always in a good mood to go to work, today I'm not in the mood to go to work. Due to the fact that Antonio is always at the bar, staring at me while I work. After work today, I have to go back to the house with Destinee and Mhali to do the Lockdown with Zak, Nick, Aaron, Billy and Jay. I believe Destinee, Mhali and I can handle the lockdown, I'm just a little bit nervous about what the spirits are planning to do to us when we get to my house. Zak, Nick, Billy and Jay were very concerned about Aaron after yesterday. We all believed that Aaron was possessed. We still havent found out what's down in the basement. We must find out who are these other spirits that are haunting my house. I already know one spirit, since Katherine told me about her dreams of Isabelle. Isabelle is not happy with me being in her house. Well, I guess we're going to try and get her back to Hell.

I got ready for work. I walked downstairs and walked into the kitchen. Dad was sitting at the table with his computer and coffee. Dad looked up at me. I walked over to Dad. "Good morning Dad" I greeted Dad and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Dad flashed a smile at me. "Good morning sweetheart, how did you sleep last night?" Dad asked. "I...I slept ok" I say shrugging my shoulders. Dad let out a sigh. "Sit down sweetheart" Dad told me as he pulled the chair beside him out. I sat down on the chair. Sammy was sitting, gazing up at both me and Dad. "Kayla, you look worried right now, this Lockdown is something that you always wished for, isnt that great? You, Destinee and Mhali are going on a Lockdown with the Ghost Adventures Crew" Dad informed me. "Dad, it's not just the Lockdown I'm worried about, it's everything else!" I shouted. Dad leaned back a little bit. I never shouted at my Dad before. My eyes started watering up. "I'm sorry Dad" I whispered. Dad put his arm around me. "Oh sweetheart, it's ok" Dad whispered. I let my tears fall. "What's going on honey? Your always looking over your shoulder, your stressing out about the paranormal in your house" Dad explained. Dad had the worried look on his face. Dad still doesnt know about the creepy text messages, creepy calls and creepy gifts that turn up at my front door. Neither does Mom or Ian. I dont want them to feel like they're in danger. It's like everyone who I'm so close to is in danger.

"Is this about the crew being here? Is it about Zak?" Dad asked. I shook my head. "No, Dad, it's not there, its..." I trialled off. Dad kept looking at me, hoping I would tell him something. I can't tell him what's going on. "Nevermind" I spoke. I stood up and walked to grab my backpack that was on the counter. I put my phone into my pocket. Dad stood up from his chair. "Kayla" Dad said. I turned around and looked at him. "You've been acting very strangely, even your Mom and Ian are worried about you, you can tell me anything" Dad said. I glanced down at the floor for a second, moved my hair behind my ear and looked back at my Dad. "I'm your Father, its my job to protect my children, no matter what" Dad spoke up again. I shook my head once again. "Look, I have to go, I'm gonna be late for work" I told Dad. I walked towards the kitchen door. "Katherine told me about the man that was outside your living room window yesterday" Dad said quickly before I could leave the kitchen. I stopped in my tracks. Sammy, who was right by my feet stopped wagging his tail and glanced at my Dad. Dad let out a breath, as he was glad he got to say off his chest.
