Chapter 9, Phone Calls

*Kayla's POV*

Dad, Mom and Ian rushed over with Katherine as quickly as they could. We were still in the sitting room, still shaking and frighten after what happened. I never knew that there was paranormal activity here, I don't know the history about this place. None of us know about the history of this house.

"It's already sweethearts" Mom said has she hold's Frankie's hand due to the face that Frankie was sitting beside Mom. "It's not ok Mom" I said. Mom looked at me. I stood up and looked at everyone. They all looked at me. "When I moved in here, there was no paranormal activity what so ever, two weeks later, paranormal activity happens, does anyone find that a little bit weird?" I asked. Megan said "well, if you only moved in, the spirits are only getting use to you being around, now that you've been here two weeks, the spirits are gonna try everything in their power to get you out". Megan as a point. Another thing came into my mind, who is this spirt or spirits that is haunting here and are they good or evil?.

Katherine scoffed and said "are you freaking kidding me? This is all messed up". Katherine stood up beside me. "Everyone is so fucking stupid! Ghosts aren't real!" Katherine shouted. I felt anger take over my body. Katherine is really beginning to piss everyone off by her attitude to everything. "Katherine!" Dad snapped with a tone of anger. "Are you guys really that fucking stupid! These spirits aren't real! You are making all this shit up! If they were real, I would like to see what they can do to me!" Katherine yelled from the very top of her lungs. Her face was red and she was taking deep breaths.

I was about to say something to Katherine, until she was picked up by the hair and slammed against the wall by an unseen force. She let out a blood curdling scream. We all screamed as Katherine fell on to the ground. Katherine looked up at us. Her face was now pale, she looked as white as a ghost. Dad, Mom and Ian rushed over to Katherine. "Katherine, are you alright?" Ian asked her, horrified. Katherine's eyes grew, her mouth opened however no words came out.

"Katherine honey, say something" mom asked rushing over and holding her hand. Everyone was now on their feet. Something was really wrong. "Katherine" Clara said as she held on to my arm. Katherine was looking towards me and Clara. This is getting more and more freakier. Ian and Dad came over towards Clara and I, looked behind us. "You have to speak up Katherine, what's wrong?" Mom said. Katherine looked very strange. She looked like an old doll or something.

Katherine pointed behind towards Clara and I. "He's right behind you" Katherine sobbed. I felt Clara gripping on to my arm, digging her nails into my skin. Clara and I slowly turned around and saw nothing. There was silence surrounding the room. No one was moving. My heart beat began to increase. I knew everyone else's hearts were beating faster then a normal heart beat.

All in a flash, Ian was picked up and thrown against the wall by an unseen force. Everyone screamed. Ian groaned in pain. Dad and Clara rushed over to Ian. "Dad, are you alright?" Clara asked as Dad and herself picked Ian up. "I'm fine" Ian said hugged Clara. Megan and Lauren rushed over to Ian and gave him a tight hug. I looked at John, Frankie and Katherine. Katherine was still as white as a ghost. "What do we do now?" John asked. I turned and looked at Dad. "We need to find out who are the spirits that haunt here and why they haunt here" Dad said. The question is, who will help us?.

*Later that day*

I was at work trying to get my mind off things. Frankie, Katherine and Clara were back at Mom and Ian's house. Megan, Lauren and John were at work too. They'll be here at the restaurant later today to find out if there is any paranormal investigators in the area that will be able to help us find out why the spirits at my house haven't cross over.

I was in the middle of cleaning the table and I saw Destinee, Mhali and a few of my other friends that go to college with Destinee and Mhali, Erin, Maddie, Angie and Maria. "Hey Kayla" Destinee said. "Girls, I thought you would be in class right now" I said. Mhali said "we're on out lunch break now". I sighed and rubbed my head. I had a little headache again.
