Nick's POV

I woke up to see Jo's green eyes staring at me. I went to go pet her, but once again I failed. I sighed as she ran off. Joe must of fallen asleep on my small black leather armed chair. He snored softly while I looked at the clock beside me. 6:45 A.M. Huh? Early enough. I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. He suddenly woke up then fell off the chair. He didn't realize his feet were tangled in his blanket. Just as he was about to take a step. He looked down and unraveled himself. Damn, I was hoping he didn't notice. He then walked to the bathroom. It wasn't long until I heard the toilet flush and him walking back out. He climbed to the other side then laid down.

"Do you remember what happened three years ago? The day of the incident?" I asked him. With his eyes closed shut he responded.

"How can I not? Minus all the stuff that happened to you..It was a great day." I chuckled,

"Yeah, I had quite the bad luck." Joe opened his eyes.

"Quite the? Your luck was horrible!" I laughed,

"I remember one good thing that happened."

"Oh really? Like what?"

Three Years Ago

We all decided to go to this stupid haunted house. As in 'we' I mean Shay, Joe and Kevin. I hate all this haunted ghost crap. It's just not for me. I wasn't going to go until she decided to join. So I figured why not? She'll need someone to protect her and I'm not letting Joe put a finger on her. She's mine, that is until I ask her.

The house has been abandoned for years. The old rotten gray wood matched the color of the sky. I looked up and it began to rain. I pulled Shay close to me. She looked up and smiled as I smiled back.

"Can we please go inside and get this over with?" I asked starting to shiver.

"Oh hold your horses. Kevin is running back to see if it's empty." Joe said picking up a rock and throwing it towards the house. Once it hit the roof a whole bunch of black crows flew out. Shay jumped and I pulled her in even closer. I then rolled my eyes.

"Was that really necessary?" I hissed at him.

"I just wanted to see what would happen," he said shrugging his shoulders while looking out for Kevin. Shay fumbled around in my arms.

"Someone can't breathe over here," her voice waved in then out of my arms.

"Oh," I looked down and released her. She took a big breath.

"Thank you," she smiled.

"You're welcome, I'm sorry for smothering you." Her eyes met mine and her lips curled in another smile.

"It's fine, I liked it," she smirked. My eyes widen and I bent down to kiss her. Our lips were inches away until Kevin popped out of nowhere yelling.

"No one's here! Let's go!" She and I hit noses and Kevin looked down at us. "Did I just ruin a moment?" I rubbed my nose and glared at him.

"What do you think?" I growled. Shay took ahold of my hand and pulled me down.

"Next time," she whispered. As my smile grew we followed the rest in the house.

The house was creepier inside than out. Dust and spiderwebs covered every surface. A mouse ran across my foot and out the door. I jumped back and screamed. I heard everyone laughing.

"Aww is Nicky afraid of a little mouse?" Joe asked in a playful tone. I fixed myself then stepped forward.

"No I'm not, and please don't call me that." Shay grabbed my arm and rubbed it. Joe just roll his eyes while Kevin walked down a long hallway.

"In here guys," he motioned his arm and we followed. The wooden boards creaked with each step I made. Joe stopped then turn around.

"Will you keep it down back there?" He asked highly annoyed.

"I'm trying to be as quite as I can," I whispered loudly.

"Well you suck at it," he whispered back. Shay joined in,

"Will you two knock it off? We're almost there." I nodded my head and took another step. I then screamed as this pain filled my entire body.
