Shay's POV
Current Time
As I laid in my bed I stared at the beautiful necklace Nick gave me many years ago. Even though we we're in a relationship we never kissed. I was 15 and just wasn't ready. But, I would wear it everyday and that's how I got my nickname, 'Shay.' After I wore it everyday for so many years eventually it broke. I keep forgetting to get it fixed.
I regretted what happened that night in so may ways. A few months later he began his two year relationship with Miley. Before they went out he had promised that almost every song on his, "A Little Bit Longer" album were going to be written about me. He instead decided to it write for Miley. He wrote me a few songs like; "BB Good," "Shelf" "Pushing Me Away" and "Tonight." "Got Me Going Crazy," "Sorry," and "Can't Have You" were written for her. I clearly remember the night he wrote that song. It's a night that I'll always remember.
Eight Years Ago
While I was helping Mrs. Jonas make dinner. A very angry Nick came home and stomped up stairs to his room slamming the door. I could've sworn the walls shook."I'll take it from here dear, go talk to him and see if he's okay." She patted my back as I stopped slicing the onions. I went up to his room and heard him sniffling with his keyboard playing. I pressed my ear against his door and listened.
"I don't wanna fall asleep
Cause I don't know if I'll get up
I don't wanna cause a scene
But I'm dying without your love
I'm begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
Cause I rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have-"I didn't realize I had ahold of his door knob. The door with me flung open. He stopped playing and looked down to his left. I brushed myself off while I stood up. His eyes got my full attention. They were as red as the shirt he was wearing. The tears formed in his eyes like a small ripple made in a pool. I sat on his black marble piano bench next to him. I took ahold of his hands and placed them back on the keys. I smiled slightly and nodded my head. He began to play and sing while I wrote the words down for him. His crying has stopped and he pulled me into a hug. We didn't say a single word. With a song like that. You didn't need to. It all happened right there in front of us. The moment we realized that music speaks louder then words.
