As I got dressed in my black clothing and mask I heard a cry from the outside of my balcony. I opened the door to see the queen and nobleman Vice arguing and that cry wasn't a cry at all, it was a slap. The queen slapped him. I ducked to not be seen.
"It's very simple, if they don't call off the wedding then you get the king to drop in the poison, we get to blame the King and the girls leave after the girl dies and the king gets beheaded for murder" she said. The queen was the one that threatened us. But, why? What did we do? "But-" he began. "You and I will be together" she said wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him lightly. "How do you know it will work?" He asked still unconvinced. "Remember Serpentine?" She asked. "I'm the one that made him harass Mary, so he wouldn't be able to marry Sage and she could be with Viktor. I do care, that's why my son will marry the princess of Gollinsburb" she said with a smug smile.
Then she kissed him, deeply and passionate. I rambled back into my chambers. Unable to understand what has just happened. The queen, the person who put us as Sage's ladies wants us gone, and my sister dead.
I heard knock from my door and rushed to the sound. "Mary, I need your help" said Rose from the other side. I looked back at the balcony before nodding and leaving...
