We stepped out of the room, and walked down a long, wide hallway. If this deal went through I would be walking these halls all day everyday. "I remember you, and my promise" said Sage breaking the ice "what?" I asked unsure of what she was referring to. "About seven years ago, you saved a girl from getting taken from a man, a very dangerous man" she said. I froze. How did she know that?

I remember that day clear as the sky after rainfall, I was by the creek when I heard screaming. I ran towards it, seeing a man trying to kidnap a small girl, I grabbed a rock and threw it at him. He chased me down before I lead him into one of Malice's snares. I went back to the creek, the girl thanked me and promised to help me when I needed it. I never saw her again.

"You're the girl that I saved" I said astounded. She nodded her head "is this why you're making my sisters and I into your ladies?" I said getting a bit mad. "Well would you have preferred lord Grier? Because that who was next in line that your father was going to throw you at" she said still kindly. We kept walking but, in silence. My mind still wrapping around the thought of my father consenting to this. "Why would he do this? I thought my father loved us?" I said to her with wide eyes. "He does, but women don't do much in the work place" she said, I squinted at her wondering, how the hell would you know you're a damn princess? "Your father's words not mine" she then said throwing off my suspicions.

"And besides you get to live in this lavish castle, and the food is out right amazing" she said laughingly. I let out a chuckle but, I was still in shock and angry of my fathers deal. Is that why he came here before us to make the deal before we found out? She was about to speak again when two young men walked by bowing their heads as did we, the two men were gorgeous, one had black hair to his shoulders and brown eyes, the other had black hair like his companion, but blue eyes like Sage. "Brothers" she said bowing her head. I also vowed my head but, remained silent. "Sage" they said in unison.

We kept on walking but I briefly looked back to see brown eyes staring back at me. I swiftly turned my head around. As we walked farther away I couldn't help my self to ask "those were your brothers?" She looked at me with a small she was only a couple inches taller then my 5,7 foot stature. "Yes, Gabriel is my brother, he's the blue eyed one. Nik is my father's son, so he's my half brother" she said referring to brown eyes. "I thought the King and Queen loved each other why would he have a mistress?" I said then immediately realizing my mistake. "Im sorry it's not my place" I corrected "not a bother" she then stated to ease the tension.

"My father and mother had troubling times when the plague hit. My father took company with a maiden, but she's my father's official mistress now. They grew close raising Nic. Her name is Beatrix, she had Nic about a year before Gabriel. And yes he loves my mother, just he doesn't know how to keep his pants up" she said, she didn't seem at all bothered with it, strong girl. I almost burst out laughing when she said her last sentence, but she beat me to it. We laughed for a while until we reached double doors.

And just we grew near them my father stepped out. "Father" I said angrily and crossing my arms. "I will leave you two to settle your quarrel" said Sage leaving us. "Mary, you've heard" he said lowering his head. "Why didn't you tell us?" I asked. He could see the flame in my eyes. "Mary..." I interrupted. "You ruin our lives and then you do this. Do you have even the slightest idea of what you are doing?" He interrupted me this time "Mary!" He yelled. "What father?! Am I not your daughter? Or am I just another pound of grain you put on wagons and sell?!" He looked defeated but, I didn't stop. "Why so sad father? This was YOUR deal?!" I yelled.

"Mary, our farm is failing the soil is rough to plant, until it's able again I recommended that you and your sisters stay here. No need for you to starve. I tried to get a deal for the boys but, no luck thats why it's sad! I did not sell you!" He said loudly. I looked at him in awe. "My daughter I love you, but I refuse to let you starve" he them hugged me. I was still in shock and it took me a minute to recuperate what was just said, but then I wrapped my arms around my father. "Your things will be delivered here, with in the hour" he said then grabbing my arms and holding me back making me look him in the eye.

I nodded. He then hugged me again. "Ma'm" a servant said behind me. "Yes?" I asked. "Is everything alright? We heard yelling" She then asked. "Quite alright" she nodded at my response and left on to her business.
I guess I'm moving into the castle, I can only hope this doesn't turn out as horrible as it sounds.
