The wind whistled through the windows, letting the early morning sun seep through the curtains. Fitz felt the sun warm his face as his eyes slowly opened. Linh laid next to him tangled up in a heap of blankets, her soft snores filling up the quiet room. Gently pushing Linh's jet black hair out of her face, he slowly tried to nudge her awake. "Come on Linh, we gotta get up. Remember, we have the council meeting." Fitz whispered gently in her ear.

"Aw, five more minutes..." Linh moaned, tossing to the other side, turning her back to Fitz's face.

"Oh no! Lorian threw up!!" Fitz cried, trying to trick Linh awake.

"Who, what, where?!" Linh bolted awake, sitting up in bed, and searching for the mess. Fitz immediately burst out laughing at Linh's sudden reaction

"Hm, not funny." She grumbled, already pulling the covers back over her head. But not before creating a ball of water, which she shoved into Fitz's face. "Ha. Ha." She deadpanned under the covers.

Fitz, who was now dripping wet, and laughing even harder managed to stammer, "I-I'm gonna get you b-back for that."

Linh, who was definitely not a morning person, replied, "I'd like to see you try.". Even though she was annoyed at being woken up so rudely, she slipped her hand out from under the covers, and pulled the water off of Fitz, and dispersed it into the air, without even emerging from the covers.

"Show-off.", Fitz grumbled, but he couldn't help but smile. "You'll be in a much better mood once we get some Morning Daisy Tea in you."

"Muh-huh." Linh mumbled from under the covers.

"We need to get the kids ready for school. Midterms start today. Also, we have to be at the council meeting. Linh? Linh?"

"Okay, okay." Linh groaned slowly emerging from the covers and sliding out of bed. Fitz got up too, and headed to wake up the kids while Linh trudged to the bathroom to freshen up.

Fitz slowly walked into Lorian's bedroom, quietly slipping in. A floor to ceiling window took up one side of the room, and it faced the glittering waterfall that laid beyond the house. The sun was nestled above the crashing waterfall, being silhouetted by the rising mist.

Lorian began to stir as he heard his father's footsteps. "Dad?" He whispered softly.

"Good morning Lorian." Fitz said, pushing Lorian's jet-black hair out of his silvery eyes. Lorian had a strong jawline, and chiselled chin that were unmistakably his father's, but his eyes and hair were his mother's.

"Good morning Dad." Lorian said, smiling up at Fitz.

"It's time to get ready for school. You have your first midterms today."

Lorian pulled the blanket over his head. "But I don't want to goooo."

"Lorian, you've been studying all week, you'll be fine." Giving Lorian a comforting smile, he added with a wink, "No reason to worry."

"You sound like Grandpa."

"Yeah, but it's true!" Fitz said tickling a giggling Lorian.

"Hehe-Stop! Dad! Hehe!"Lorian squealed, trying to shove Fitz's arms away.

"Then go get dressed!" And so, Lorian hurried off to his closet, taking out his uniform as Fitz exited the room to go wake up his daughter, Rayla.

He slowly entered Rayla's room, where soft sounds of the waterfall splashing drifted from the open window near her bed. "Time to wake up Raylie!" No response. "Sweetie you have midterms. You're gonna be late!" Once again Fitz was met with silence. "Raylie! Rayla!" Seriously. "RAYLA! WAKE UP!!"
