Sophie's hand closed around the note, her hand so tightly clenched all the color drained from her fingers as her face did the opposite, turning a deep tomato red. "When?" she growled, her voice going dangerously low. Her brown eyes focused sharply on Keefe. Even through all the anger and hurt, his gaze, so full of regret, seemed to hit her like a strong wave. It was almost strong enough to drown out her surging emotions. Almost.

Keefe took a step closer, approaching her slowly. He opened his mouth to answer her, but no words came out. Instead, he just stuttered out, "I-." His voice disappeared. He couldn't lie to her, not now,not after hiding the truth so long. The whole room was quiet. Too quiet. Ro and Sandor watched, and for once Ro was shocked into silence.

Sophie felt like crying. She also felt like ripping his head off. Or slapping him. She did none of those things. Instead she shot all of her anger out yelling, "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!? WE'RE SUP-" her voice cracked as a few rebellious tears slid down her cheeks. "We're supposed to be a team," she continued her voice angry and broken.

"Soph-" Keefe started, but Sophie didn't want to hear his reasons or apologies.

"NO! If you had shown that to someone, we could have started looking days ago for her and those-those poor kids, do you realise what you've done?!"

"Sophie! Please! When I saw it was so unreal. I didn't want to believe that was my reality. I was going to tell you, I swear, but you came home from work that day and I-I-I"

"Seriously!" she spat out looking at him with such hatred, it made Keefe's heart shatter into a million pieces. "You don't get to play the victim here. You were scared and you made a stupid decison, that's all there is to it."

"Sophie-" Keefe started, but was immediately cut off as the door creaked open.
