I came though the portal with ease. I landed in a Anya bathroom. It was nice and moden, mostly black and white. After a few seconds Cayde tumbed though. He landed on his hands and knees, before I could help him up he leaned into the toilet and was sick. There was a loud growling sound and the portal shimmered in and out of sight before it got sucked out of existence. Anya hadn't come though, I started to panic. Cayde began to cough up blood, I helped Cayde get some water, he was throwing up this black goo of some sort. He kept coughing. I walked out the bathroom to see Anya.
"Hey, Cayde sick," she wasn't facing me,
"Get sam!" It was a command. I hurried to the door, and as I left I heard Cayde swear. I kocked on Sam's door. He answered withing seconds. I had forgotten he was a women at the moment. She was wearing a baggy top, she looked tired and groggy.
"Cayde's sick," I spoke,
"I'll get my stuff, and some trousers," I waited, I heard her rushing around, she came out wear the same top and some pink boxers. She hopped down the stairs and I followed. Sam burst thought the door, I glanced at Anya, she had a large rip in her blood soaked top,
"Shit Anya what happened?" Sam ran over to her,
"No, Cayde," she pointed at him as he collapsed onto the floor. I rushed to Anya, Sam ran over to Cayde and began to do medical stuff,
"What did this?" Sam asked,
"Wraith attacked me, and Cayde has travel to the nether reaches," Anya wondered over to Sam's medical bag and pulled out a potion, she sat down at her table and started to pour the liquid on her wound. Anya flinched, green smoke sizzle from her wound. She started to cuss. The smoke faded to away.
"You need to heal," Sam barked, "and next time you should call lycan, coz your shit could kill him!" Sam started to yell,
"Yeah next time for sure," Anya snapped back. She walked across the room and ripped off her top, she unhooked her bra and rummage through her drawers. She had pale scars scattered over her back. Anya pulled out a lacy bra and a deep red summer dress. She pulled it on and took off her trousers. She turned to me,
"You hurt?" She asked, I shook my head.
"Is cayde gonna be okay?" I quizzed, she smiled sadly. Sam answered me,
"Yeah he just need rest and for Anya to stop being stupid!" She snapped. I felt like I was on the outside looking in, I didn't know what to do, I had no experience in any of this. I felt lost, with no way back. Just a few days ago I had a normal life in a way.
"There was no other way! So get off your high horse and help him!" Anya yelled.
"What were you even doing?" Sam questioned, Anya grabbed the jeans she had on and pulled out a brown leather sack. She shook it, it sounded like coins.
"Irish gold," she placed it on the table with a thud.
"You went to Ireland!" Anya nodded, my mind was blown,
"What the hell?" I spoke, Anya laughed,
Sam butted in,
"If he dies it's on you," Sam threatened,
"He won't!" Anya stared at Sam, after a few seconds Sam stood and walked over to her,
"That illegal! And so dangerous!" Tension filled the room,
"He won't die!" Anya spat,
"Fine but we are not apart of this," Sam yelled back, shoving past Anya and towards the door.
"Jason can speak for himself," Anya lifted Cayde and placed him on the bed,
"No! He already in deep shot just because he exists, this!"Sam paused at pointed at Cayde "Couldn't get you all killed!" Sam grabbed my arm, she was very strong. Sam dragged me up the stairs and pushed me into her apartment. It was huge, the open living and kitchen were there size of Cayde's whole apartment. I turned around and what was Anya's downstairs was her bedroom and bathroom. The furniture was modern and sleek, the floors were dark hard wood and there was a strange skeleton in the corner by a large desk over run with medical text books.
"Wow!" Escaped out of my mouth,
"Thanks, I try," she smiled. "Sorry about that," Sam pointed down, and everything that was pent up inside just came tumbling out,
"What was that? What's a wraith? What is Anya doing? What are the nether..." Sam held up her had and pointed to the sofa. I sat and Sam grabbed coffee, I look up at the fancy clock. It was seven am, I sipped. The coffee was black, I coughed.
"Shit sorry, milk? Sugar?" Sam spoke, I nodded. Sam grabbed the stuff, placing it on the coffee table. She sat cross legged on the yoga mat, the other side of the coffee table.
"Wraith, they are a demonic ghost that had one foot in out realm and another in the nether realm/reaches. They are created when a demon dies and gets corrupted by much darker forces and come back. The green steam was the antitoxin working on the vemom that come from there claws, it can kill humans in seconds and lower demons within minutes." She paused to drink her coffee. I sat and prossested all the information.
"Okay, what's the nether reaches?" I asked, Sam sat there for a while before she explained,
"It's like a supernatural hell, we all go there when we die. There are many tho. The nether reaches, the outer reaches and the other reaches etc. It's a bit complex but you don't really need to know all of it right away." She got up and grabbed more coffee. Sam plonked it on the table and did some yoga exercises.
"What are you? You don't say we when speaking about demons but you do say we when talking about supernatural's, but you never really told me what you were," I fiddled with my now empty cup, Sam grabbed the coffee pot and sat it on the table, I laughed.
"Thanks," she smiled,
"Yeah, I think we all need it. And yeah, I told you about how I turn into a woman. But I'm a druid. Magic and sleep." She wondered about,
"Sleep?" I asked, she laughed
"Yeah I'm not immortal but am it a way. I sleep for extended periods so regenerate my power and inturn I age very slowly."
"Oh..." I spoke,
"Yeah it's strange," Sam laughed again she seemed to be in a more happy mod, its probably the coffee.
"What's Anya doing that so bad?" Sam froze. She frowned,
"She's using her powers to heal him, demons aren't allowed to do it, it can also result in the change. That's why it was banned." We both fell silent. There was a knock on the door, Anya entered.
"I'm sorry, Sammy. If I knew we'd have to get out of there fast I wouldn't have taken my portal, there's a really nice B and B that I like to stay in, I wasn't trying to hurt anyone." Anya had barely stepped into the flat, she looked small and innocent. Bare foot and in a summer dress, she had braided her hair in two. Sam grabbed a mug out her cupboard and poured something else in it. Sam walked over to Anya, and the high difference was crazy. Anya walked closer to me. I stood she was over a foot Shorter than me. She looked up at me,
"I usually wear heels and if you make a sort joke so help me, I will murder you." I look at Sam and she agreed. The urge to make a short joke was very high.
"Cayde's going to be alright he just need rest," she culled up on the sofa and pulled the blanket over her. She look in pain,
"How are you?" I asked, she smiled
"I'll be fine, I just need to heal." She sipped her drink and it left a red line on her upper lip, She licked it off. It was blood, I could smell it now. She watched me,
"You know you should probably have some," Sam spoke, I shook my head,
"You need it Jason," Sam grabbed another cup and poured me a little.
"Just be thankful that you ain't a vamp," Anya whispered, she bent over in pain.
Sam rushed towards her but Anya just brushed her away,
"What do you mean?" I asked, Anya coughed a little.
"Vamps aren't broody and handsome in real-life, the few that remain are rippers. They don't stop, some can even rip you apart because they can't get to your blood fast enough," Anya snuggled into the sofa,
"Anya sleep for a bit," Sam said, Anya didn't protest. She drifted off.
"What did she mean?" Sam began her yoga poses again.
"They are horrible, and if you find one kill it. There not even classes as lower demons. The blood lust is so strong that to even be able to control it you'd need to be at least over a thousand years ago. I've heard Anya call them cockroaches before." Sam didn't some strange breathing exercises. I sipped the blood, it was okay. I wondered what would happen if I lost that amount of control.
"You're not like them, most demons drink blood, they need the Mana from it to survive." Sam spoke,
"What the difference between them and me? Anya said I was vampire like," I asked,
"Vampires have no Mana of there own, so they need to drink alot of blood to regain it. You have your own Mana, it actually very strong, before you were turned you probably could have been a warlock. You could still use magic now if you wanted but you'd have to drink more than a cup once a week." Sam smiled, I yawned. Sam looked at her watch,
"I've got work at nine, if you wanted to sleep in my room for a bit you can," Sam said,
"I just might take you up on that," she smiled at me. I followed her into the bedroom and slipped of my shoes and pulled my top off. I slid under the covers. As she left the room.

...

I was started awake by a loud crash. I shifted out of bed and flopped on the floor.
"Oww," I stood, rubbing my jeans I walking into the living room.
"Shit sorry, didn't mean to wake you," Sam said in a hushed tone.
"Huh?" I said loudly, in that moment I regretted everything. A pillow was thrown at my head, full force. I was locked off my feet and landed on my back.
"Fuck!" Pain shot though me. I got up, rubbing my back I looked towards Sam, she was giggling on the floor. She was trying to yay quite. I looked at the sofa, all I saw was a small curled up ball of blankets. I waved at Sam,
"Is that Anya?" I mouthed, she nodded. Sam bought me a mug of coffee,
"She's an adorable death machine, within a blanket tower," Sam whispered in my ear. She got so close our shoulders touched, she also smelt fresh and clean. Speaking of,
"That's accurate. Can I get a shower," Sam nodded, there was a growl from the blanket tower. In this state she was very adorable but she had already thrown a pillow so I ducked out of there and found Sam shower.
I stripped down and stepped slowly into the shower, turning the water on high and letting it beat over my head. The room filled with steam. I showered lightly, careful to not to touch the cuts and bruises that scattered my body. The tunnel craving in must have done more damage that I first thought. I closed my eyes to the water as the heat socked into my skin warming the soul. I stepped out and wrapped the towel around my hips. Anya bust in, her hair was a mess and she looked like the dead. She stripped her dress right in front of me.
"Get!" She said, she was terrifing. I ran out of there. And almost walked into Sam.
"Don't suppose you got clothes, she-devil kind took mine," I held the towel up.
"Yeah, there some in my room, take what you need, she scuttled out of the blankets like a crab. She's scarry." Sam went back to the kitchen she was making bacon, the smell filled the room and I got dressed. Sam was clearly more muscular than me because I had to belt the jeans so they wouldn't fall down and the top just look more like a dress. I walked out,
"Oh wow, even though we are the same height," Sam shrugged as she pushed a bacon sandwich towards me.
"It's not that bad," I inspected the tomato sauce careful,
"It really not, but...wait what are you doing?" Same asked,
"Is this tomato sauce?" Same gave me a look that said 'are you stupid or what?'
"Um yeah what else would it be," Sam spoke, I shook my head and ate. Anya scuttled in, hair wet. She was wearing one of Sam tops it almost felt to her knees. She was whispering bacon over and over like a cult.
"I make you two," Sam spoke. Anya face lit up and she gobbled both down faster than I could eat one sandwich. She stood and washed her plate.
"I'm going to check on Cayde," she said, she hurried off on her little legs. I could no longer she the tall sexy Anya in my head, all I saw was the strange she-devil blanket tower. Though I would probably regret that and she'd whip out a cat suit or something. Finished and helping Sam out. Then I left to go see Cayde.
