"Anyway, you did well, thank you Tanizaki."

The boy, who I assumed was Tanizaki, laughed it off and said it was no big deal.

"By the way, are you alright?" He asked me.

I was mildly confused. Why was the robber asking me if I was alright...? Why did Kunikida say he did well? I'd be more concerned about Dazai after he got dropkicked into the door.

I shook my head letting go of the confusion.

"I'm fine, thank you," I reassured him.

It was silent for a moment until I heard footsteps coming from the opposite end of the room. I peered behind Kunikida and Tanizaki at the man walking into the main room. They both as well as Dazai followed my eyes.

It was the Agency's president.

He was a tall man with shoulder-length silver hair. He was wearing a green yukata under a black and gold haori. He looked really intimidating.

"President," Kunikida spoke firmly and gave a slight bow to his boss. Tanizaki and Dazai followed suit.

"I was told the exam was completed without error," the president said with a loud and clear voice.

Umm... exam?

Kunikida nodded in agreement. "She demonstrated the virtues of the Agency exceptionally," he replied while fixing his glasses.

"Hmm," the president hummed in response. He looked at me.

"Miss, what was your name?"

"I-It's (L/N) (Y/N), sir," I told him.

"So, what's your decision, president?" Kunikida asked.

He thought to himself for a second, then looked at me, then Kunikida. He looked back to me, to Kunikida, and did this a few times.

"I'll leave it up to you, Kunikida," he said while walking out of the room.

"You can trust me, sir," Kunikida called out with confidence.

He turned in my direction, giving me a small smile.

"Welcome to the Armed Detective Agency, (L/N) (Y/N)."

A smile quickly grew on my face.

"Thank you so much, Mr. Kunikida," I beamed. "You too, Dazai, and, Tanizaki, was it?" I looked at the orange-haired boy.

He smiled. "You're right, my name is--" He was suddenly cut off by a girl with black hair in a school uniform jumping onto him and throwing her arms around him.

"Big brother!" She called out with a happy tone.

Tanizaki sighed, catching her in his arms. "As I was saying, my name is Tanizaki Junichirou. And this is--"

"His little sister, Naomi!" The girl said to me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both," I told them.

"Now, why don't we all head downstairs for some celebratory coffee?" Dazai called out.

"I think that's an excellent idea," I replied.

Everyone followed Dazai downstairs to the café.

Kunikida, Naomi, Junichirou, Dazai and I arrived downstairs. I sat at a booth across from the Tanizaki siblings.

"So, Ms. (L/N), what did you do before you joined the Agency?" Junichirou asked me.

I internally froze and quickly came up with a bluff.
