I woke up to my alarm, a totally normal morning.

...A totally normal morning, had it not been the wrong alarm.

I wanted to get into work early to get a head start, so I could help Dazai with any last-minute preparations for the entrance exam, and however we planned to capture this tiger. However, under my current circumstances, that wasn't going to happen.

I got ready as normal, definitely not forgetting to grab Kunikida's jacket on my way out. It still smelled like him. I'm winning today.

I headed out the door and made my way to work. My favourite song came on in the car, so I was feeling really good already about today's day at work.

I arrived at the agency building, stopping for a coffee at the café on the base floor. I decided to sit for a bit instead of taking it to go.

While I was sitting, I saw Kunikida walk into the café. He ordered a coffee himself and then sat in front of me.

"Good morning, (Y/N)," he said, snapping me out of the trance I put myself in after initially seeing him.

"Doppo! How lovely it is to start my day with you," I told him, smiling as bright as I could manage in the morning.

"You're looking better than ever," he complimented as he gestured to my jacket.

"All thanks to you, who looks the same as ever. However, something's telling me you're also looking better than ever," I said as I sipped my coffee.

He laughed as he took a sip of his as well.

"Shall we go to work?" I asked, setting down my mug.

"Right on time," he stood, offering his hand.

I took his hand, and we made our way to the elevator together, preparing for a very interesting reaction from our workmates.

"Hello everyone! I—"

Everyone started cheering as soon as they saw our hands together. We hadn't taken more than a step inside the office.

"We did it! We did it guys!" Dazai was cheering and looking at Yosano, Tanizaki, and Ranpo.

Yosano gave Dazai a high five. "I can't believe one day stuck together was really all it took."
"Hey, don't forget the nightly 'meetings' I made you guys attend!" Dazai complained. "All that planning was part of it too, you know."

"Um, Dazai, I don't think group chatrooms count as nightly meetings..." Tanizaki butt in.

"Oh of course they do! Besides that, the plan worked, okay?"

Tanizaki and Yosano sighed. Ranpo was too invested in eating his snacks to focus on what was going on.

"Hang on, what the hell are you all talking about?" Kunikida asked, standing at his desk.

I stood beside him, equally as confused. Was this all some big setup or something?

"Long story short, mission Love-Magic was a success. I saw the jealous look Kunikida had when I approached you for the first time, so I used my matchmaking skills and the help of my colleagues to get you two together!"

"I was not jealous," he said bluntly.

I gave him a look of 'really?'

"...I was a bit jealous. But that doesn't matter. Can you guys just get to work?  Even you, Dazai." Kunikida scowled at the end.

"Oh whatever," Dazai complained, slumping in his seat like a little kid.

I laughed and took my seat across from Kunikida, starting today's work.

I had just finished one of my documents and I looked up at Kunikida. He was looking right at me, lovestruck.

"Back to work, loverboy," I teased as I flicked his arm with my hand.

"You saw nothing," he said flatly, getting back to work with a flushed face.

"Whatever you say," I sighed, getting back to work.

Some time later, we all finished our work around the same time.

"Anyone wanna head downstairs for some drinks?" Tanizaki suggested.

"Everyone, your attention!" Dazai gallantly called out.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Check out this package I just got! Some lovely lady sent it to me. ~"

He walked to a table in the middle of the room and set down the package. We all watched him open it, only to reveal...

A bomb?!

"Dazai, is that a bomb?! Why the hell did some lady send you a bomb?! Where's the detonator?!" Questions were coming out of me like a waterfall.

"Oh relax (L/N)! This isn't the first time this happened."

"What?!" I screamed.

"Remember that fake bomb that was used in your entrance exam?" Dazai laughed.

"Yeah... what about it?" I asked, confused.

"Some different lady sent me that one."

"What is with you and receiving bombs from women?!" Kunikida asked, puzzled.

"Oh, come on, it's only happened once before this!" Dazai whined.

"That doesn't make it any better!" I retorted.

We all sighed, ending our feud. I looked over at Kunikida, who was deep in thought. He looked at Tanizaki, who gave a nervous look in return. Kunikida kept looking between the fake bomb, Tanizaki, and Naomi.

"I have an idea. I'll be back. Dazai, (Y/N), you guys come too."

Dazai and I exchanged glances and made our way to the conference room with Kunikida.

--

"I hate to admit it... but that's not a bad idea," Dazai sighed.

"I must say, it's a better idea than my entrance exam!" I smiled.

I looked at Kunikida, who gave me a dejected look.

"But I thought of that too..." he frowned.

He shook his head and ran over some specific details with the two of us. He detailed that we will be closely tracking a "tiger" over the next two weeks. If this was the case, why did we have a meeting about an entrance exam? I was so lost.

"I already have most of my plan set in motion. I'll be able to update you guys soon," Dazai told us.

Dazai then left, but I stayed back to wait for Kunikida.

"I'm going to run this over with the president before we head out. Are you coming?" He offered out his hand.

"I have no reason not to," I graciously took his hand and we walked out of the office together, hand in hand.
