"I seriously went with earrings on?" He asked.

"You looked fine. I'm tired, so I'm gonna go sleep," I yawned a little. "Night, cutie," I kissed his cheek and went to my room. I slept peacefully and thought about Quinton.

In the morning, we ordered postmates and I got 2 boxes of hashbrowns. Quinton did too and neither of us said anything.

Quinton POV

I was hoping Avery would ask for my food, but she never did. I didn't know if she felt awkward about the night before, so I let it go. I went to my room and had no idea why I hoped she'd follow. But she didn't. A while later, Noah came in and said we were going to Hype. We all went over and hung out on the roof. Avery was hanging out with Chase and they looked really happy. I hoped that Avery only thought of him as her friend and that she didn't like him in a crush way.

"Why are you watching them like a stalker?" Josh asked me.

"I like her, but Griffin doesn't want us hanging out. And she probably doesn't even like me. She's only known me for a couple weeks," I said and looked at him.

"Shoot your shot. If she doesn't like you, then you can lock yourself in your room and I'll bring you food every day."

"Not helping."

"Well, my lips are sealed. I won't say anything to Griffin." I nodded and he smiled. "Now let's make a TikTok so you look less depressed." We made one on both of our accounts and I wanted to make one with Avery, but Griffin was there. He finally went down to hang out with Dixie and I motioned Avery to come over. We made TikToks and posted them before Griffin came back up.

"Are you having fun?" I smiled.

"Yeah," she said.

"Sorry I didn't talk to you this morning."

"I meant to ask you about that. Why?"

"I didn't know if you felt awkward about last night and... dinner."

"I'm fine. Are you?" She asked.

"Yeah," I nodded and we stared at each other. She started giggling and it made me smile. "What are you laughing for?"

"Nothing. Just... you're wearing the earrings. I like them." She smiled and hugged me. I liked it. I like her. But I had to remind myself that we were just friends. Nothing more. I hugged her back and she pulled away. "I'm gonna go hang out with Chase. I'll see you later." She walked to him and they were about to walk to his room when he came over to me.

"Start heading to my room. I'll be there in a sec," he told Avery who shrugged and left. "Quinton. I want you to know... that I only think of her as a friend. But you clearly like her. She can't see that, but I just wanna tell you that I'm not gonna try and steal her from you."

"Thanks," I said and he nodded, leaving. I felt relief wash over me and smiled to myself.

We all went back to Sway at night and ordered Canes for dinner. Avery went to her room and I walked in with my food.

"I'm live," she said and I sat with her.

"'What are you eating?' Canes," I smiled.

"You want these?" Avery pushed her fries to me.

"Sure. Why?"

"I don't like them." I took them and we answered questions on the live. "Ask me questions, guys."

"I have a question for you. What is your favorite smell?"

"I don't know. I like the way guys smell. I know that weird, but like..."

"What do you like guys to smell like though?"

"Oh, my God. I mean, if I like the guy I would take any smell. But I like the smell of Wolfthorn Old Spice. And I think I speak for most girls here when I say that girls like when guys give them hoodies that smell like them. Because if a guy gave me one, I would keep it until he breaks my heart. Then I'd burn it. But that's just me," she sweetly smiled at the live and I watched her, slowly taking a fry. "Wanna smell my perfumes?" Avery got about 10 and set them on the bed.

"Okay... But don't put it on me," I begged and she nodded. She put it on herself and had me smell each one. I liked them all and she put them away. We ended and I was still eating. Avery lied down and watched me. "What?"

"I'm gonna sleep."

"Okay. I'll go," I said.

"It's fine. You can stay till you finish." I stated and she closed her eyes. I watched her and she looked so peaceful. I couldn't help but reach over and brush her lips with my index finger. She opened her eyes and I stopped, leaving my finger there. She locked it and smiled. She slightly pushed my hand away and turned the other way. I took that as my cue to leave and walked out after looking at her. I shut the door and went to my room. I really hoped I hadn't weirded her out and that I hadn't exposed that I liked her. I threw my trash away and took my shirt off for the night. I lied down and rolled around, but just couldn't find the right position. I walked onto my balcony and looked over the edge of the hill that the house was on.

"What if I went to her room?" I muttered to myself. "I'm not a fucking stalker." I stayed up for a while and it turned into all night. I couldn't stop thinking if Avery hated me now and thought I was weird. If she wouldn't talk to me the next day, I'd explode.

In the morning, I went down after i heard the guys all talking.

"Hey," I said.

"Yo. Is Avery up?"Jaden asked.

"I don't know. She's probably asleep."

"Yeah. I didn't hear anything when I came down," Griffin said.
