~Drake's P.O.V.~

"Why have you been spending so much time with this diseased girl lately?" The interviewer asked.

"One, she has a name and it is Ryleigh. Two, she isn't diseased. Yes, cancer is considered a disease but it isn't like Ebola or the flu. Three, she isn't a girl. She is a wonderful young lady. But to answer your question, I spend so much time with her because she is an extraordinarily inspiring person to be around. She has cancer yet she spends so much time thinking about everyone else around her. She is a huge fan and I met her on her birthday. The more I hung out with her and learned about her, the more intrigued with her I got. Not to mention her incredibly strong and selfless twin brother. He truly is amazing."

"Wow. You speak very highly of these two teenagers." She said.

"They deserve to be talked highly of."

"Okay, is there any way we would ever be able to meet this superfan and her twin brother?"

"Actually, yes." I said, saving them over. "This is Ryleigh and this is Lincoln." I said.

"Hello." They said in unison.

"We'll just jump right into the questions if that's okay. So, Ryleigh, how has it been with Drake at the hospital?"

"It truly has been amazing. I've been able to rely on him and to confide in him and I know he won't tell anyone the things I've asked him not to." Ryleigh said.

"Lincoln, how has it been staying with your sick sister and Drake?"

"It truly has been an experience. I have come in the hospital room several times to find them dancing and singing with each other, laughing together or having a really personal heart to heart conversation. I truly have been blessed that Ryleigh has been able to find someone to confide her feelings into. It has been a true blessing for her." Lincoln said.

"Wow. You are all very in-depth with your feelings and emotions. You explain them very well."

"That's what we do best." Ryleigh said, smiling at Lincoln and I. "I really appreciate you both staying with me while I fight this everlasting battle."

"Ryleigh you have a charisma about you that just makes it almost impossible for people not to like you." The interviewer said. All of a sudden, from behind the curtain the interviewer was sitting in front of came Hunter. Next thing I knew, Ryleigh screamed and jumped up to hug him.

"Oh my gosh! Hunter!" She said, trying to keep her composure.

"So is this the one you were telling me about that kicked the ball that hit her in the head at that soccer game?" I asked Lincoln.

"Yep. She claims it was love at first sight. She also says that about her favorite outfit, shoes, purse, or, well, you." He replied.

"Wow. I think she might have meant it though." I said.

Ryleigh and Hunter were talking and laughing but when she looked over at me I could seen pain in her eyes so I cut the interview a little short and excused her from Hunter. We took a little walk.

"What's upsetting you?" I asked.

"Nothing." She replied.

"Come on. I can see the pain in your eyes."

"It's just- it's just that I feel all alone, even with you and Lincoln here. Sometimes a girl just needs her mom. Or your mom. She just needs a female figure there to guide her through difficult times."

I grabbed her arms and pulled up her sleeves to reveal a fresh cut.

"Ryleigh. What is this?"

"I'm sorry." She sobbed. "I just couldn't help it."

"I told you, you can tell me anything. And when I say that, I mean ANYTHING. we pinky promised."

"I know, and I'm sorry for breaking that promise. I just couldn't help it. I am depressed and sad and angry and lonely and that's starting to take it's toll on me. I can't deal with it anymore. I just need to have a secure emotional outlet. It is getting to be too much for me to keep inside."

"I'm here for you and I always will be, Ryleigh. You know you can trust me."

~Ryleigh's P.O.V.~

It really means a lot to me that even though I broke our promise, Drake isn't mad at me. He understands. Finally, someone who gets my emotions and isn't scared of what I might tell them. I commend him for that.

I've been writing and updating these at like 2,3, and 4 in the morning so that's why they've been kind of short. I'm trying to update a few times a day so when I go back to school I will have plenty for people to read if I get behind a little bit.

What did you think about the interview? Lincoln starting to tear down the wall around his emotions? What about Ryleigh breaking her and Drake's promise? Why do you think he is so forgiving of her?
