~Ryleigh's P.O.V.~
I'm so excited to have Sandi staying with Lincoln, Drake, and I for a while. She understands me a little better than Lincoln and Drake. I think that might be because we are both females and clearly we relate more to each other than males do. I could tell that Drake was nervous bringing Sandi to stay here with us.
Sandi insisted that she take me to the mall tomorrow so I agreed. She is already starting to feel like a mother figure to me. I really look up to her. Always have, always will. No matter what.
Drake and Lincoln went to get food and do a little male bonding while Sandi and I watched some movies. I eventually fell asleep and woke up to doctors poking and prodding my arms. When I looked around, nobody was in the room except a few nurses.
I went back to sleep and what seemed to be an eternity later, I woke up to Drake and Lincoln coming in.
"Sorry." Lincoln said.
"It's okay." I said, lying back down.
"I got you something." Drake said.
"An iced caramel macchiato?" I asked.
"Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner." He said, handing me the drink and kissing my forehead. "How was your nap?"
"Eh, I've had better naps in my day." I said.
Drake and Lincoln both laughed but I was being dead serious. I've had naps without people poking and prodding me with needles.

-The Next Day-
Sandi and I got up early to go shopping. We've been at the mall for hours now and I'm really tired. I think I'm going to ask her to take me back to the hospital so I can get a little rest. I would hate to hurt her feelings though.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Sandi asked.
"I'm just a little tired and lightheaded, that's all."
"Do you want to go back to the hospital?"
"If you don't mind?"
"No, definitely not."
--------------------------------
When we arrived back at the hospital I almost immediately fell asleep. I didn't wake up until late that night, only to use the restroom and get something to drink. Only then did I realise that I hadn't eaten anything all day and honestly, I'm not hungry.
~Drake's P.O.V.~
When Ryleigh was sleeping I sat on her bed and truly admired her features. Her pale complexion, her steroidally puffed face, the long length of her eyelashes which brushed her cheek when her eyes were closed, and the peaceful emotional escape when she was sleeping.
Her beauty was astonishing. I truly admired her. Not only her love for me,my mother, and her brother.
No matter the struggle she was going through she will always have a love for the three of us, even if it's way deep down inside her loving and trusting heart. I never want to see her get hurt. By anyone. Ever. I feel like she is my daughter and I will always love her and treat her like she is my daughter.
I went to bed thinking about how Ryleigh must feel about her parents never being there for her or her brother.
---------------------------------
"Good morning, guys." I said.
"Morning." They all said in unison.
"Look." Ryleigh said, pointing to her phone.
"Drake and his mother conned into spending unnecessary amounts of time with diseased and dying fan." I read aloud. I now noticed the redness and puffiness of Ryleigh's eyes.
"They don't know how much they hurt people." Ryleigh said, wiping tears from her eyes.
"Don't worry about the tabloids, sweetie. They have no clue how wonderful you truly are." I said, kissing Ryleigh's forehead.

Some of my chapters have been rather short but I'm trying to make them a little longer. I hope you guys are liking it so far!
What did you think about Ryleigh's reaction to the tabloids? How would you react? What about how Drake handled it?
Feel free to leave questions or comments!
