~Ryleigh's P.O.V.~

I met the cutest boy ever at the game last night. I'm glad I did end up going. Although I had a migraine afterwards, it was all worth it. We texted until about 3 am then we both fell asleep. He said he was going to come to the hospital tomorrow and see me. I didn't tell him why I was there yet. He just thinks I'm visiting someone.

"What if he doesn't like me anymore?" I asked Lincoln, who couldn't care less.

"Then he doesn't like you anymore." he said. He isn't too big on his little sister dating. He takes the place of my dad and interrogates every guy he meets. The only difference between them is Lincoln actually cares.

"Don't even say that!" I said, playfully slapping his arm.

"Whatever." Lincoln said and turned to watch the TV.

~Lincoln's P.O.V.~

I cant believe Ryleigh likes this guy so much. She just met him and doesnt even know him. She was on her phone until like, 3a.m. I hope she doesnt fall for this boy and she ends up getting her heart broken, or even worse, dies. I cant even imaging living life without my sister around.

"Where are you going?" Ryleigh asked me.

"Home. Mom and dad called me and wanted me to go home so the three of us could talk."

"Oh. Could you bring me some food back?" she asked, pushing her bottom lip out and making her icy blue eyes huge, batting her very long eyelashes at me.

"I guess" I said, laughing and rolling my eyes.

"Yes!" she said.

I walked into the elevator and it took me to the lobby, I walked out and got in the car. The whole way home all I could think about was what my parents want to talk to me about.

∼Hunter's P.O.V.∼

It was the first game of the season and the whole team was gathered in the locker room, acting childish as always, on there phones, listening to music, and sharing stories about who we thought was the hottest girl in school. And then I hear the door open and I switch personalitys a quick from a immature 15 year old kid, to team captain and I demand everyone to stop messing around and take a knee in the middle of the floor. They form a circle around me and I stand in the middle looking at each and everyone of my teammates. I notice Salem dozing off into outer space and I say his name in a aggressive way and startle him.

"For what reason are you here?" I ask him.

He clumsily responds "to get girls like you man, all girls have a thing for soccer players" he laughs.

I continue to stare at him and I say "No. Your here to win. Everyone here, you better be here for one reason and one reason only to win. Were a family and we do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. Now go get ready to kick butt tonight, welcome to the soccer team!"

They all cheer and get hyped up. I smile to myself and I go to my locker and start to slide on my jersey. Coach king, approaches me and looks delighted.

"That was some speech little man". I smirk and tell him he could learn a thing or two from me and we both laugh as I slide on my shin guards. We continue getting ready and I get stuck looking at myself in the mirror, I smirk.

Coach suprises me as she asserts "you know we have game right pretty boy?"

I get embarrassed and I walk to the front of the line and me along with the rest of my team march down to the home teams field and we start warming up. I just get lost in my soccer mindset and before you know it. The games started and I'm outside the 18 yard box lining up for a free kick. I attempt to bend the ball around the defenders and into the left corner of the goal. I line up and get a good strike on the ball and I start to cheer a little to early and *bam*

I hear everyone in the audience let out a "ooooooooh" so I go over to get the ball and I look and I see this cute little girl on the bleachers grabbing her head. She's looking downwards so she can't see my face and she starts to groan in pain a little bit and I crouch down and I lift up her chin and I see her eyes go from looking like she had demon eyes to looking like a kid who just got a new bike for Christmas. I could've sworn her eyes were glowing. I apologize and I struggle to find the right choice of words, I'm genuinely stunned by her looks and my mind can't seem to process a proper sentence. I lift her up and I ask for her name and just as she's about to respond, my teammates come and say get your head in the game captain. I snap out of it and get back into my soccer mindset but I can't stop thinking about her during the game. I scored three times that game and I didn't even really celebrate. I just wanted the game to be over already which was suprising because soccer is my passion. I can't get the image of her gleaming eyes out of my head. As soon a I hear the final whistle I hear coach say "bring it in" but I sneak away and I go looking for this girl I clocked in the head with the ball. I finally bumped into her ride beside the bus and I tell her my name and I ask her for her phone and I type in my number and I name the contact as "your pretty cute" and I walk on the bus and I look out the bus window and I see that she saw what I put and I see her jaw drop and I laugh to myself. I keep thinking about her as I'm half asleep and I hear obnoxious comments from my teammates.

"Your're just trying to get in her pants aren't you?"

I just rest my head on my soccer bag and I slowly doze off on our ride back home.

As I am driving home, I then remember what we had talked about just a fee days before. Once I started speaking to them again. We had arranged for Drake to come visit Ryleigh in the hospital so she can cross it off her bucket list.

"Hey, Lincoln." my parents say, greeting me at the front door.

"Hey." I reply.

"Okay so I think she would like what we have planned." my mom said.

"She will love it." I say.

"Whatever makes her happy." my dad says.

"We are all going, right?" I ask.

"No. Just you and Ryleigh are." they say.

I got up and walked outside. I couldn't believe them. I got in the car and went back to the hospital. When I got back Ryleigh had a visitor. I didn't know who it was but he was sitting in the chair I have sat in for the past week and a half.

"Who is this?" I ask, pointing to the boy.

"His name is Hunter. He is the one that kicked the ball that hit me in the head last night." she replied.

"Oh. Well, you're in my chair." I said.

"Sorry." he said and got up. He moved to the chair on the other side of the bed.

"You played good last night little dude." I told him.

"Thanks." he said. "Listen, I've got practice so I will see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow." Ryleigh replied and gave him the biggest smile I'd ever seen from her.

He came over and shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you." he said and walked towards the door.

"Nice to meet you too." I said.

"Bye!" Ryleigh yelled.

Ryleigh pulled the blankets over her shoulders and drifted off to sleep while I stared at her, wondering what was going on between them.

∼Ryleigh's P.O.V.∼

All I could think about when I rolled over was how sweet he was. I could tell Lincoln was a little unsure about him but he was fine with it for now. I eventually drifted off and I had a dream I became a soccer player. Maybe if I beat this cancers butt I could play one day. It is a definite possibility.
