I was running, my feet hitting the ground as I ran, keeping my pace. My breathes became shorter as I kept on and on. I was maybe three minutes away. I felt a burning sensation on my side as I ran. It was beginning to be hard to breathe and the cold air made it harder as well.

I saw the Café up ahead. I ran inside as I tripped. My elbows grinding against the hard cold title floor, my knee scraping against the floor. I can feel my elbows chipping away on the inside becoming like dust. My head slowly hitting hardly against the floor. My mind wad spinning. My ankle cracked and I laid on the floor. In utter pain. Jolts of pain were flowing throughout my body.

My body was just in unbearable pain. I heard an Irish voice. I got in a push-up position and got up. Limping over to where Niall was. His face was washed with worry.

"Are you okay?!" He asks me examining my body up and down.

I nod, "Just a hard fall."

"Just?! Iris you fell very badly!" Niall stammered as he got up and went to my side as he sat me down.

"Niall I'm fine. Ive had worse." That wasn't a lie.

"Want me to get you a drink?!" He asks me.

I nod and give him five euros," Just a peppermint coffee please." I mumble.

He nods as he goes and fetches me a drink. He comes back and hands me my drink as he sits back down.

"Well..." He trails off.

"Any siblings?" I ask.

As the night continues on I ask him questions which he answers. We talk about his life. His favorite colors, his favorite drink. What he loves, how's his job.

As we talk Niall seems nice. He appears so sweet to me and kind. I learned about how he has one older brother, he's always been a fan of the Eagles, and how he considers life unpredictable.

Whenever a question leans onto my personal life, I avoid it. I don't feel as if my terrible life should be shared.

"How do you like singing?" I ask him.

"Wonderful, but it's the fans we sing for. Theyre the thing that keeps me going. It's simple no fans, no one direction."

"Hmp, I should say, you're the boy who sings." I chuckle out.

"I guess you should. " Niall said chuckling too.

"I think it's nice though. You're girlfriend are your fans almost."

"Hey, our fans are the best."

I smile.

The waitress comes to our table and I see who it is, it's Raine.

"Oh hey, Iris!" Raine said smiling.

"Hey Raine."

"You know her?" Niall asked me.

I nod, "We're classmates at the college here."

Niall smiles.

"Well I'm sorry guys, but it's closing time." Raine said.

We nodded and got up.

"See ya at school tomorrow, Iris." Raine said as Niall and I walked out.

We started walking towards Niall's apartment. The hasty wind slapped our faces as we walked in silence.

"I should be walking you home." Niall conplained. I shrugged. I didn't want him to see my flat. My flat was already tearing in pieces and we didn't have classy furniture at all.

I saw his beautiful apartment and sighed.

"Thanks for the talk." I whispered.

"You're welcome, actually I wanted the chat remember? It's hard to find a normal person who'll talk to me as if I was normal too."

"You are normal, just your career is different."

Niall smiles, "I guess, see you later Iris."

I nod, "Bye Lad."

I start my way home and as I walk my mind is just overwhelmed with questions. The air becomes a mist and I feel dribbles of water fall. I extend my hand out and sprawl my fingers into an uplifting motion. The rain stops and just floats in the air.

I examine the raindrops in the misty night and then close my hand. The raindrops fall and it continues to pour. I start picking up my pace and run home.

As I get home I open up the door to see the shadowy figure of my mum standing near the corner. I turn on the lights.

"Where were you..." She questions.

"Let's skip to the beating." I mumble.

"Where were you ?" She asks again.

"I was at the park." I mumble under my breathe.

She takes a step forward to me. Her eyes were burning me, and I stood there waiting and waiting for the devil to take a strike.

"Go to your room." She instructs me.

I nod and quickly race up the creaking stairs. As I head into my room I lock the door. I switch on the lights to see Destiny in the corner.

She was in a crouching position, with blood and a black eye. Destiny had a black eye on her left eye, blood dripping from her mouth and nose. She had bruises over her pale arms and a huge cut on her hand. You could see it had been slashed by some sort.

I was choking on my tears, I raced over to her, looking at her. I gentlely placed my hands on her cheeks.

"What'd she do to you?!" I whispered as tears flowed down my cheeks.

I saw tears come down from her brown eyes. I pulled my hand from her cheeks to reveal blood. I looked at her right cheek to see a cut from under her eye going down to her jaw .

"Desti, what has she done?!"

Destiny looked me in the eye.

"I didn't tell." I heard her whisper.

I held her in my arms.

If only we stayed with him.
