You stop in awe at the gorgeous view. You were only halfway through your mountain treck but the view was already stunning. A soft smile spreads across your face as you feel the warmth of the sun and soak in the quiet noises of trees rustling and birds chirping. You take one last look at the view before you keep climbing.  As you get to a waterfall amongst the forrest you decide to have lunch on the rocks. As you pull out your sandwich you admire the waterfall and the scenery around you. As much as you were an out going and confident person, you loved to go hiking by yourself and didn't have many close friends. You had moved to a new city to study the history of pirates as the tales of their adventurous nature intrigued you, and they didn't have any courses on it in your hometown.

As your mind wanders yours eyes land on a ship wreck hidden in the trees. Confused, and curious, you stuff your lunch back into your backpack and go to explore it. You manage to find a rope ladder and climb aboard. You carefully explore the deck before stopping in front  of the captain's quarters. You curiously opened the door and looked in to see a half destroyed room, with a vast desk in the middle. You go looking around the desk until you see a drawer with a lock on it. You try to pry it open but it remains tightly shut. You walk back around to the front of the desk and try to pull away the rotting wood at the back of the drawers. After a couple of minutes you smiled proudly as the wood crumbed away, revealing a draw with a warn out diary. You flick through the pages and find a necklace book marking a page. It had two pendants on it, one was a ruby, and another one looked like a pirate hook. You held it in your hand as you started to read the bookmarked page. You mumbled it out loud as you were struggling to identify the words that were scribbled and smudged. As you got to the bottom of the page you suddenly felt really dizzy and fainted on the floor of the ship.

As you begin to feel yourself wake back up you notice a slight rocking feeling. Your nose starts to fill with scents of salty water and some grime. You become conscious of the softer surface you were laying on and the warmness that was draped over you. You open your  eyes a little and look around trying to get your bearings. You were laying in a bed with red sheets. The inside of the room looked like the inside of a ship, which explained the rocking feeling. An old wardrobe was barely standing in the corner. You look down at the end of the bed to see a guy in red lounging on a chair at the base of the bed, a pirate hat over his face and soft snores creeping out from underneath. You groan as you try and sit up. The guy sitting on the chair pushes his hat up to peek at you, and when he notices you sitting up he jumps up. After steadying yourself you finally look at him and oggle. He smirked and gave you a low chuckle.
"Like what you see lass?"
"Sure is a sight for sore eyes." You give him a wink. He raises his eyebrow at you as you glance around the room.
"Where am I?"
"Your in my room. It was the closest and most private place we could put you until you woke up."
"I can tell." You nod towards the coloured sheets and then his outfit.
"What I mean is that when I fainted I was in a shipwreck up in the mountain with nobody else around. Now I'm here, in another ship, with you, that's on the ocean?"
He raises his hands in surrender.
"All I know is that you we found you, unconscious in Uma's office clutching this." He hangs the necklace you had found in the diary from his fingers.
"Which brings me to what I need to ask you about. Where did you get it? It was-"
Suddenly the door is open and a girl head to toe in teal walks in.
"Ah she's awake." She gives you a smile and others her hand.
"Uma. Captain Uma." You take her hand.
"Y/n. Just y/n." She chuckles.
"I like this one. Say you should come up and meet the crew. There's a free spot if you'd want to join." You give her a smile and a nod before you get up and follow her and the guy up to the decks. Before you get to the door you tap the guy on the shoulder. He stops and turns to you, raising his eyebrow.
"Uh, you didn't tell me what your name was, or am I just supposed to call you hot stuff?" He gives you a smirk and an up-down look.
"As entertaining as that would be, I am Harry Hook."
"Are you first mate?"
"The one and only."
"Hm, impressive...." he roles his eyes at you  and continues to follow Uma out to the deck.
