(y/n) POV
Tonight was the going to be the first time I was meeting Luke’s family and I couldn’t be more nervous. It was Luke’s birthday celebration and even though we had been dating for a while I felt like I’d be intruding. “Come on (y/n) don’t be so nervous, they’re going to love you.” Luke said, kissing me softly. He grabbed my hand and we left.
When our car pulled up to his childhood home my heart pounded in my chest. I held Luke’s hand tightly as we walked to the door, “They are going to love you just as much as I do.” He said then knocked on the door. It was opened a minute later by his mom “Luke!” She said excitedly, hugging him and kissing him on the cheek. “And you must be (y/n).” She said turning to me, her smile made me feel better. She gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek as well. She ushered us inside where I met his dad who shook my hand, “It’s nice to finally meet you. You’re all my boy talks about now.” He said. “It’s nice to meet you too, Mr.Hemmings. ” I said. “Oh no call me Andy.” He said. I then met Jack and Ben and they were nice and I felt like I belonged, no longer an outsider. “(Y/N) do you mind helping me in the kitchen?” Liz asked. “Sure.” I said leaving Luke’s side.
Luke’s POV
I sat with my brother’s on the couch and caught up with everything they had been doing while I was away. Soon the conversation turned to (y/n) and I, “So loverboy how are things between you two?” Jack asked, “Things are amazing, (y/n)’s just….. she’s perfect.” I said. “Oh Jack I think our baby brother’s in love.” Ben said. I felt myself begin to blush so I tried to cover it up but it was failed attempt when my dad cut in, “You two stop, you’re making him blush.” They all laughed at that and then (y/n) walked in with my mom and I couldn’t help but to smile. She smiled back and I knew it was true, I was in love with (y/n). “Hey Luke do you mind going with (y/n) to the store to get a few things?” My mom asked. “Sure.” I said standing and taking (y/n)’s hand. We were almost to the store when I realized that I forgot my wallet so I turned around. I walked into the house and was in the living room getting my wallet when I overheard my family mentioning (y/n) in a conversation. I stood there and listened, “I like her too, she’s cool and Luke loves her even if he won’t admit it to us.” Ben said. “He told me over the phone that he loved her and not to scare her off. She’s such a sweet girl and I like her, I can see a wedding in the future.” My mom said. I was happy she liked (y/n) but she was moving really fast even though I could imagine it too. I walked out and back to the car. Once I was inside I smiled at (y/n) thinking about what my family said, “What?” she asked. “Nothing.” I said before reaching for her hand and intertwining our fingers.
Later that night after dinner (y/n) and I were cuddling on the couch and watching some of the homemade videos from when I was younger. “You were such a cute little kid.” She said. “Are saying I’m not now? ” I asked, faking to be hurt. “Eh.” She said smiling. “Whatever.”I responded, smiling as well. I adjust so now she was laying on top of me with her head on my chest. “I love you. ” I told her, “I love you too. ” she said. We soon drifted off to sleep.
Liz POV
"I’m going to say goodnight to Luke and (y/n)," I said to Andy. I walked downstairs and saw that they were already asleep. (y/n) laying on Luke who was snoring lightly. I turned off the tv that was playing a video from Luke’s 5th birthday party. I looked at them again, they were a really cute couple and (y/n) made him so happy, I smiled knowing that my baby boy was in love.
