“Hurry up (Y/N)!” Ashton called from the living room.
“One second.” You yelled back. Recently you and Ashton went to a party and you ran into an old friend. The two of you exchanged numbers and have been texting ever since. You didn’t realize how long you were taking and Ashton soon walked into the kitchen to see what was keeping you.
“(Y/N)?”
“Yeah babe hold on one second.”
“You said that five minutes ago, who are you texting?” He asked and pulled out a stool next to you.
“(Y/F/N). Remember him from the party?”
“Still? You’ve been texting him all week.” Ashton huffed and you could sense that he was displeased.
“Babe I haven’t seen him in a long time, we’re just catching up.”
“Yeah I know. Just come in the living room or I’m starting the movie without you.” He forced a smile and walked away. You followed and cuddled up next to him on the couch. Throughout the movie you were glued to your phone and occasionally let out a small giggle when (Y/F/N) said something funny. Ashton sat next to you unamused and extremely annoyed as your attention was on another guy while he was trying to spend time with you.
“Hey babe can you grab me a soda?” You questioned looking at Ashton with your best puppy dog eyes.
“Why don’t you ask (Y/F/N)?” He growled and you could tell he was now angry.
“Ashton I’m sorry, I’m just happy to talk to him again. I promise you he’s nothing more than a friend.” You apologized and Ashton rolled his eyes trying his best to keep from smiling but couldn’t help it when he met your eyes.
“I trust you and I’m happy you’re excited to have an old friend back, but do you think we could watch a movie without you on your phone the whole time?”
“Of course.” You turned your phone off and placed it on the table beside the couch and snuggled up to Ashton once more.
“Just make sure this guy knows you’re mine alright?” Ashton said kissing your forehead.
“Of course Ashton.”
