You and Luke were volunteered to help set up for your baby cousins birthday party. You were hanging streamers all around the room and Luke was blowing up balloons on the couch. You were avoiding the balloons because ever since you were little you’ve been afraid of balloons. Everything was coming together as you worked on the finishing touches around the room. You were headed to the table to set up the party hats when a half blown up balloon whizzed by you.

“Shit!” You yelled as you jumped back. Luke laughed and got up to retrieve the now empty balloon that was on the floor.

“Sorry, it slipped out of my hand while I was trying to tie it.” He picked it up and began tugging at both ends to stretch it out while walking back to the couch. You smiled trying to hide how much it scared you to have a balloon fly in front of you. You got back to setting up the table when you heard a loud pop. You screamed and covered your face with your hands.

“Babe it was just a balloon popping.” Luke said staring at you from the couch.

“Luke balloons scare me okay, I don’t like them and I especially don’t like hearing them pop.” You admitted hoping he wouldn’t find it to weird. He got up from the couch, hurried over to you and wrapped his arms around you.

“(Y/N) why didn’t you tell me?”

“You don’t think it’s weird?” You asked confusedly.

“Of course not, everyone has their quirks. I’ll blow up the rest of these in the other room okay?” Luke pressed a kiss to your forehead and grabbed the stuff to head to the other room. You smiled, loving how understanding your amazing boyfriend was.
