Chapter 9

I wake up, and was wearing a shirt and Knox was gone. I make an attempt to stand up. I wince in pain lying back down. I see a note on the nightstand. I pick it up opening it.

Sorry, I had to leave. The scent was too much for me and I'm super sorry
There are no males inside the packhouse or within a mile radius, so you'll be safe. There are only females inside the house who check up on you every hour.
I'll see you later today though.

I close the note and lay on my back breathing deeply. I reach over to the nightstand wincing in pain as I did and took out a blood bag, stabbing it before drinking it.

My door opens and a girl with blonde hair and brown eyes is there.

"Hi, I'm Seana. Alpha wanted me to stay with you all day," she tells me

"Okay," I say softly before putting my empty blood bag inside the trash next to my bed

"What's it like?" she asks as she sits in the chair near my bed, "Does it really hurt super bad?"

"I feel like I'm dying," I say softly before her smell actually hits me, "You're a vampire," I say

"Oh, yep," she smiles, "And you're are the famous hybrid,"

I feel someone trying to mind link me so I raise a finger to her before answering.

'Hey, sis,'  My brother says

'Hi, Austin,' I reply weakly

'Are you really in the heat?'

'Nah, I'm faking it'

'No need to be mean, I just wanted to see if you were okay since you have the heat of 2 animals,'

'Want to switch and I give the pain to you instead?'

'I'm good,'

'When will you meet your mate?' I ask

'Why the fuck would I know?'

'That's a bad word Austin' I scold

'Whatever, I'm coming to see you today anyway'

'As long as you don't bring our parents I'm fine with that'

'Why?'

'They will probably pressure me into mating with Knox,'

'That sounds like them. Anyway, I'll be there soon, bye,'

'Bye,'

I turn my head to Seana, "My brother is coming here," I tell her

She nods, "Does your heat hurt more than others because it's the heat of 2 animals combined?" 

"It hurts double and it's more enticing to males," I explain

"Happy I'm not a hybrid," she mumbles

"Way to make me feel better," I mumble
