My Pack Calls Me Iris, But His Calls Me Luna [ON HOLD]

Chapter 10

I woke up and felt no pain anymore. Knox was beside me but still asleep. His mouth was slightly open and his arm was around my shoulders as my head rested on his chest. His breaths were even and soft, his bare chest moved up and down as he inhaled and exhaled lifting my head slightly with each breath.

I tried to get up but his strong arms were holding me down to him and his grip didn't falter, not even slightly.

"Mm," I groaned trying to get away from him

"Stay," he moans sleepily

"Whatever," I put my head back on his chest inhaling his intoxicating scent that sends my wolf crazy

I close my eyes soon falling asleep listening to his even breaths and his steady heartbeat which lulled me back to sleep.

I was woken up with the feeling of someone staring at me. I looked up at Knox who was looking down at me, his eyes filled with admiration.

'He is so handsome' Maya gushed

'He has to match me,'

'Don't give us a big head' she grumbles

I laugh aloud and tighten my grip on Knox pulling myself closer to him if that's possible.

"Don't you want to talk about the thing?" he asks me

"Absolutely, but you're all comfortable," I mumble

"Seems like we've switched roles since this morning," he tells me putting a finger under my chin

"Fine, I need a shower first though," I get out of the bed stretching my tense muscles

"Yeah, you stink," he waves a hand in front of his nose

"You try not being able to move for 2 or 3 days because you're having the heat of 2 animals combined," I cross my arms over my chest

He lets out a short chuckle wrapping his arms around me and pulling me back onto the bed, "I'm joking," he kisses my cheek

"You better be joking because you had the option to shower and it smells like you didn't take it," I tell him crossing my arm

"Rude," he grumbles

I laugh and kiss his nose before getting out of bed again. I walk into the bathroom and undress before turning the water on and letting it get warm before stepping inside. I begin washing myself singing a song to myself as I do.

The shower curtain pulls open and I jump almost falling but I grip the shower handle turning it freezing cold and screaming from the freezing water. I quickly get out of the shower wrapping the towel around myself and look at the intruder.

"What the hell?" I ask my naked mate

"You said I smelled and we need to conserve water so I decided to join you," he says standing proudly showing his long member

I slightly cover my eyes grabbing the spare towel and throwing it at him, "You gave me a fucking heart attack," I growl

"Well, I saw," he smirks

I get a bit of fire in my hand throwing the small ball by his head but making sure I would miss making him jump.

"Watch it woman!" he says

"Don't scare me next time asshole!" I fire back

I put my towel back down and turn the water back to its original setting and get back in. When the curtain opens and Knox steps in, I don't jump this time and continue my washing. He turns me around to face him and looks at my stomach where the bruise still stays.

"It should have healed by now," I poke the bruise

"It couldn't because of your heat," he tells me, "I'm so sorry," he looks close to tears

I put my hands on his cheeks, "I get it. You've said it enough times, I forgive you," I say moving my thumbs under his eyes as I look into his eyes

He slowly nods before leaning towards me. I lean in towards him slowly and our lips soon connect sending big sparks through my body and Maya begins purring and howling in pleasure.

His hands easily slip to my waist pulling me close to him but our bodies weren't touching. My hands rest around his neck as I kiss him.

After our little make-out session, we shower ourselves and get out of the shower. I wrap my towel around myself and brush my teeth letting my hair air dry since Knox had the other towel around his waist. I step into my room and lotion my body before putting on an outfit. 

Knox makes a move to the door and I speed there quickly before he could even touch the doorknob, "Nuh-uh," I shake a finger

"What?" he questions

"This house is still filled with 'unmated females'," I mock him, "So, I'll get your clothes while you stay here, and lotion yourself," I smile before pushing him back softly and leaving the room

I walk to his room and pick out an outfit with boxers before bringing it with me back to my room, waving at the female warrior by my door, who smiles and waves back. I enter the room and see Knox patiently sitting on my bed with his towel around his waist and the lotion was moved to my nightstand.

I smile at him giving him his clothes and turn around. I know we just saw each other naked and all, but privacy is still good.

'Not when your mate is God!' Maya gushes

'Shut up' I hiss 

Hands wrap around my waist and sparks fly through my body. 

"We still need to talk," he says softly as his mouth grazes my neck 

"Talk, not mark," I turn around in his arms, "Definitely,"

I sit on my bed and he sits in the chair, my brother sat in the day before yesterday. I cross my legs and intertwine my fingers, giving him my undivided attention.

"So, the witches and werewolves are feuding again because a wolf pack destroyed an entire coven," he explains

"An entire coven? And succeeded?"

Covens were around the same size as each pack except for Knox's pack and my family's pack. My family's pack is a vampire and witch coven and a wolf pack next to each other and was the biggest. Knox's pack was vampires and werewolves. It was the size of a vampire coven and wolf pack beside each other which put itself in second place for the biggest pack.

Covens had barely any open spaces as pack do though. They were completely filled with witch huts since witches can mate with whoever unless their mate is a wolf or vampire which happens, just not often. 

My mom's mother was a witch and her father was a vampire. They were the strongest of them back in their day and did the exact same thing my mother and father did. During a war, they happened to mate and make a double (Which is what they would call her mother or Noah who has 2 different blood animals inside them) who ended their war between the vampire and witches.

"The entire thing," he confirmed, "If the witches had been prepared, they could have killed all of them, but the Alpha said witches from that coven were sneaking around their pack and had been caught," 

"They didn't kill all of them right?" I ask

"Half of them. Barely any females and no children,"

"Goddess," I mumble

"There was a card on the doorstep yesterday." he says and I look at him, "The councils want to talk to you,"
