The weekend came quicker than you realized, and soon you were back in your dom's house, preparing to strip down to nothing like he preferred. But his gentle hands stopped you, pulling you closer and against his body instead. "Before we do anything, kitten," he began, "I have a present for you."

"Is it a new toy, sir?" you asked, curious.

Seán chuckled a little bit as he kissed your cheek. "No. Far from it. This is an important gift, kitten, but you've earned it." He brought out a box, flat, much like the one that had originally held your collar in. He offered it to you with a smile. "Take it. See what's inside," he said, clearly excited for you to open the thing.

Inside the box lay, well... another collar. But this one was much more elegant, white, with what looked to be gemstones embedded into it. You lifted the precious thing out of the box with shaky hands. What could it have meant?

Your eyes must have said as much, for he laughed to see your expression. "Kitten, this is for my dinner party. I can't have you in something like a leather collar; you need to look as elegant as I can make you. I have a new dress for you to wear as well, but you will see that tomorrow."

What could you say? A new, gorgeous collar was a hell of a gift, but you just couldn't help but wonder if... "Sir? Are these stones... real?"

He smiled at you. "I'll leave that up to you to figure out."

That night there was no lesson. Seán instead took the time to pamper you with a bath, wanting you to be perfect, as you were his guest of honor for his dinner party. He murmured and spoke gently to you while he bathed you, not letting you do any of the work yourself. "I want you to get plenty of sleep tonight, kitten. The party is going to be exhausting for you."

"I can imagine, sir..." you replied. But you still didn't know what exactly it meant for you, and why Mark had so chosen to warn you about it. It was a party! Parties were meant to be enjoyable!

Seán helped you rinse off and get you to your feet, wrapping a towel around your body and a second around your hair. He dried you with much the same care as he had bathed you, and you honestly felt loved. The thought brought a pretty blush to your cheeks, and he of course took notice. "What?" your dom asked, bemused.

"I j-just... I feel loved, sir," you at last admitted, your blush darkening.

He smiled. "Is that so?" Towel-drying your hair and body he led you to bed, stripping down himself before the two of you climbed in. He stroked your cheek gently, gazing into your eyes. "Well, kitten, you are loved. Very much so."

It was your turn to smile, and it stayed that way until you at last drifted off to sleep.

You woke with a start, long past sunrise. The bed was empty, save for you; your dom had gone elsewhere in the house. The clattering noise told you he was currently in the kitchen.

Yawning a little, you glanced over at the clock on his bedside table. Ten-thirty already! You scrambled up and hurried down the stairs, bursting into the kitchen and making his eyebrows go up wide. "Kitten, what's the matter?" He was at the stove, cooking what smelled like breakfast.

"Y... you didn't wake me up..." you murmured softly, approaching him and getting on your knees like he preferred.

Seán looked down at you, almost curious. "Well, I did say I wanted you to get lots of sleep today. The party will exhaust you. Why don't you go back to bed, kitten?"

You didn't want to. "The bed feels empty without you, sir..." you replied.

"Ah. Well, I suppose that can't be helped." He turned back to the food and began to plate it, at least some, before putting the rest in your usual bowl. The two of you ate willingly enough before he got up and began washing the dishes. "Do you have any food allergies I ought to be aware of?"

"No, sir."

"Good. Then dinner will work out just fine for both of us." He sat back down and began to stroke your cheek. "I will have six friends coming by tonight. You will be tired by the end of it, kitten. I can promise--" The sound of his cell phone going off stopped him mid-sentence. Was he about to explain your purpose at the party? "Hello? Ah, Arin! What's up? ... Yeah? Oh no, what happened? ... ah. I see. No, that's completely understandable. Neither of you can make it? That's fine, man. Sure, I'll talk to you later. ... No, no, there's no need to apologize, it just makes it easier on her!" He laughed, and you could hear chuckling on the other end of the line. "Sure, I'll catch you later. Bye." There was a sigh before he glanced back down where you sat kneeling beside him. "Make that four people coming. I think that should be enough. Arin and Danny can't make it, which is fine. We all get busy sometimes."

You had no idea who they were, and quite frankly you wondered if it even mattered.

Seán smiled and stood up, motioning for you to follow as he went upstairs. In his ensuite bathroom hung a black dress, something that seemed form-fitting and elegant for something like a dinner party. "I want you to wear this tonight, okay? I want you to look your best. That's why I had you bring your makeup and such, so you could get ready." He smiled down at you again. "Excited?"

You weren't sure.
