Chapter 17

Tide

How dare he. Theo had no right to insult me like that. I was looking forward to this fight, like really bad. We flashed into our cabin.

"I hate that jerk, how dare he insult you, I can't believe that he's a son of Poseidon!"Zoe ranted, taking my hand.

"It's okay, I'll just beat him up,"I said, squeezing her hand to reassure her. I saw Luke about to take his mask off, but I stopped him.

"Don't take your mask off,okay from now on leave your mask on, until nighttime,I'll create a barrier, so no one can sneak in, and see who we really are,"I suggested.

"That's a great idea, but we should probably have marks on the mask so we know how to tell each other apart,"Bianca said. We nodded, and worked on our masks, while I made a barrier that made sure that no one other than us could enter.

In the end Luke's mask had three black diagonal lines across it.Ethan's had two lines starting from the forehead, and ending at the chin.Bianca's had a red swirl on the left, and right cheek.Calypso had a black splotch over the right eye.Thalia had a yellow bolt that was diagonal.Nico just made his mask black. Mine had a black claw mark, it started at the right eye, and went across the nose. 

With that done we walked to the training arena because making the mask, and the barrier took awhile. When we arrived at the arena all the campers were already there. They parted for us. We stopped in the middle. The Warriors walked to the side, and the campers steered clear of them.

I was left in the middle with Theo.He smirked.

"You are so going down."

"I doubt it,"I replied. Since Riptide was easliy recognizable I summoned my other sword. The sword was the same length as Riptide, except it was black. The hilt was gray with silver vines circling around it.

"Ready your weapons, and begin!"Chiron shouted. Theo charged at me.He slashed, but I dodged easily. Theo tried to come up behind me, and stab, but I turned around and blocked him. I did the trick that I learned from Luke, and disarmed him.

"That was easy,you lose, and I win,don't take it personally I'm just so much stronger than you,"I said  turning my back to him, but I threw his sword over my shoulder. All the campers cheered. I could feel Theo's anger rising. I turned around just in time to see Theo pull out a different dagger, dripping green.He charged me, and plunged the dagger into my heart.

He pulled it out. I fell to my knees."Now who's the winner?"Theo said mockingly.

"Still Tide,"Chaos said as he stepped out of a portal. The Warriors, walked up to Father, and bowed. "Father, what are you doing here?"Nico asked.

"I have to attend the meeting with Gods, and you 8 need to be there, but instead I see my son almost getting killed, good thing he can't."

"Did you just say Father?That's Chaos?"Annabeth said. "And what do you mean, he can't die?"

"My children are Gods...didn't you know that daughter of Athena?" Annabeth shook her head, and kneeled before him, so did all the campers, except Theo.

"You can't be Chaos, you look wimpy just like you army!"

"I have had it with you!First you insult me, and I didn't mind, but now I'm done, you insult my army, and even worse my Father!"I screamed, and I stood up. I sent a telepathic message to Father it went like this.

Father, can I please kill him?

As much as I want you too, you can't in this war, we need as many fighters as possible.

Can I at least torture him, or hurt him?

Yes, please, but not the torture part because there are kids in this camp.

Thank you, I'll make sure he pays for insulting us.

I turned back to Theo, and glared at him. He immediately got scared, and backed away, but I wouldn't let him. I teleported behind him, and kicked him in the back. Theo fell over. I grabbed him by his neck, and held him high.

"Don't ever insult us,"I said in a murderous tone.

I brought his head down, and it slammed into the grass.He better be thankful the ground isn't cement.I wish it was though. Then I brought his head back up, and slammed it down even harder.I did this at last 10 times, each harder then the one before.

I laid him on his back, and stomped my foot on to his chest. When I was done with him, he struggled to stand up, but eventually he did, and he hobbled over to the lake.

"You will pay for this,"he threatened. He jumped into the water, probably to get Poseidon, and have me killed. Like that's going to happen. And sure enough a few minutes later Poseidon did appear, with his trident in his hand.
