Chapter 18

Zoe

I watched as Poseidon came above water, and stalked toward Perseus. I knew Perseus was going to win though. Closer, and closer he came, until the distanst between him, and his former son closed. they were now 5 feet apart from each other. I could already feel their hatred towards each other.

"How dare you hurt my son! I should have you executed, you a mere mortal!"he spat. That was his mistake.

"A mere mortal?! I am Chaos's heir, and son, I am the God of water, and betrayal, I am no "mere mortal" fool!" Perseus screamed. Perseus glared at him, and Poseidon flinched. I knew how he felt, Perseus's glares scared the heck out of me. He may not know this, but when he glared, his sea-green eyes would turn black with white specks.

Poseidon regained his composure, and came up to Perseus, and did something, that deterimined the outsome of the fight. He tried to take Pereus's mask off. But Perseus wouldn't let him, he raised his right foot, and kicked Poseidon square in the chest.

Poseidon struggled to stand up,but eventually he did. Before he could raise his trident, Perseus ran forward, and kneed him in his stomach. Poseidon coughed up inchor. He willed the water to come at Perseus, but he just stood there.

Even though he was now a son of Chaos, he was once originally a son of the sea. He let the water hit him,and much to the surprise of the campers he was still in the same spot.

"Water does not harm me,"he said.

"If water cannot harm you, I will use strength!"He replied, and charged. Perseus easily side -stepped. Poseidon's face turned from anger, to horror.

"I surrender."

All the campers gasped.

"What did you say?"Perseus asked.

"I said, I surrender, I will never be able to defeat you, and I'm sorry,"he apologized. Perseus just shrugged, and walked back to us.Then I saw something horrible, it was Poseidon coming at Perseus with his trident aimed at his back. But before I could shout a warning the trident connected with flesh.

Instead of falling to the ground, Perseus just stood there calmly.Lord Chaos looked mad, like really mad.

"You poor excuse of a God, what kind of coward are you, attacking from behind!"Chaos bellowed."Never, ever hurt my son or his friends again, or you will have to pay the price with your life!"

Poseidon looked scared."I'm sorry, my Lord, I wasn't thinking correctly."

"Wasn't thinking correctly, when do the Olympian Gods ever think correctly,"Lord mocked.

"I'm sorry, pleae forgive me,"he said begging on his knees. Coward.

"What do you think, Tide, should I forgive him?"

Tide shrugged."Why not, I could care less about what happens to that weakling,"he said turning around.

"Get out of sight now!“Chaos barked. Poseidon ran back to the lake with his tail in between his legs.A few seconds later, Theo popped out. The campers all looked at him except us, we were focused on Perseus.

"Are you okay, son?"Chaos asked.

"Yea, I don't even know why he's a God, that didn't even hurt."

"When are you going to tell them who you really are?"he asked.

"I don't plan to, Father,"Perseus said.

"I'm afraid you'll have to do it sometime."
