No matter how many girls auditioned, I couldn't get my mind off Olivia. No one had the same spark Olivia and I shared.

No one had the voice of an angel like Olivia's. There was no one like Olivia and it killed me that I might have wrecked whatever we had.

After all the auditions had finished, Tim pulled me aside. "So josh".. Tim starts out.. "thoughts on who you want to co-star with".

Immediately without hesitation I replied with "Olivia, Olivia Rodrigo", I grinned like an idiot while mentally facepalming myself.

Way to make it obvious josh. "Uh we had a good connection and she was good", I stumbled out.

"Ah, Tim said, I thought you would choose her. I have to talk to the other directors and the board but you will be the first person we tell once we come to a decision".

"Ok, thanks Tim," I said with a big cheesy grin on my face. As I walked out of the casting room a familiar face was waiting for me. "Olivia", I said confused, "I can explain"'.

"Darren? Is that some kind of nickname to Joshua?" She asked

"Well...I- it looks like you have a good chance of getting the role." I said, trying to change the topic. I probably shouldn't have told her that

"Of course she does. It's Olivia freaking Rodrigo. One day, everyone is going to know her name because she's so talented." 

Some girl said, walking to stand next to Olivia. That girl was carrying the guitar that I borrowed during my audition with Olivia

"Oh...are you..." I started to say

"The girl who you ran to like an idiot to borrow a guitar from? Yeah, that's me. I'm Nikki." She said with a small smile

"Cool. I'm Joshua." I responded

"I still don't understand the purpose of using a fake name." Liv sighed

"We should get going. But we'll see you again Joshua when liv gets the role. Let's go, Madison said that she's on her way. We are going to the pizza place here to celebrate." Nikki said

"To celebrate?! Celebrate what? I didn't get the role yet." Liv said

"Yet! Key word." Nikki said as her and Liv walked away

The night came and right now, I was just at a friends house

"So you think that this Olivia girl is going to get the role?" Asher asked. Asher was a good friend of mine.

"Yeah, I forgot I have her number. I'm going to text her to see if she responds." I said

"Yeah, Okay." Asher simply said

I wasn't sure what to text...

Joshua: make sure to change my Caller ID since you know my name isn't Darren anymore...

Olivia: okay 😊

Joshua: thank you

Olivia: I changed your caller ID to "lying dumpster who doesn't know his own name" 😊

Joshua: I think that's way too long to be a caller ID...

"Dang, you suck at this." Asher said, looking at my phone

"Suck at what?"

"You just do. You like her don't you?"

"I don't. I have no interest in someone like her. And I barely know her."

"Sure."

"I would never get together with a girl like her."

"Whatever you say josh."
