Chapter - 4

Ringgggg ~

Ahhh! Who is calling me early in the morning ? It's just 6 in the morning . I reach out to my phone and answer the call.

"Ms. Lente, you have been selected and you are to report to the HR department today at 10 am " A lady says .

"Alright, Thank you ." I answer and the call ends .

Wow. So I had actually applied to the legal department of the Lacce groups before the date for the wedding was fixed. And now I'm selected. I worked so hard for that interview .

Wait a second. Wasn't I in the living room , yesterday night ? How did I end up in my bed ?? Coz I don't remember walking here and laying down. Did Brian bring me here ? I guess he did . There might be a hope for this marriage .

Let's get ready for work . I don't wanna leave a bad impression on the very first day .

I walk down to the dinning area and find Anne placing dishes on the table while Brian sat there in his work clothes. Anne is the helper here , Brian introduced her yesterday . I sit down across him as Anne brings me a plate too

" Brian , so I had actually applied at your company before the wedding was even set. And I was called today saying I could start working from today . "I said coz I don't wanna be blamed later for not saying him.

"Oh , so you want me to give you some special treatment ,is that why you are telling me this ?" He said with disgust. He was looking at me as if I was some low life . Jerk.

"No , I didn't mean it that way and I just wanted to tell you. Cause now you are a part of my life ." I reply pointing out my real intention rather than what he assumed.

"Better for me then . And please don't let other know about our relationship ,coz I don't wanna mix my private life and professional life." He said not even looking at my face as if I wasn't worth the attention.

Now he is gettin on my nerves . Like , man I didn't ask for favours . I was just informing you. It wasn't as if I was gonna go around and proclaim myself as your wife . Period.

"Don't worry , I won't . And I have no interest in doing so ." I said with a attitude face.

He looked pissed off too and just walked away leaving his food mid way. Not my fault . He started with the rudeness. I was just continuing it.

So I finish my breakfast and take a small walk to the bus stop. I prefer taking the public transport , coz for some reasons I can't drive . I have panic attacks when I'm alone in a car or try driving them . So I usually ride it with someone or just ride buses.

I get down at my stop and stand Infront of the a skyscraper which belongs to Lacce groups. I walk in towards the reception desk and ask for the HR department . I make my way to the elevator coz the department is at the 15th floor.

"Excuse me , but do you know the way to the HR department?? " A cute brunette haired guy asks me .

"I was actually going there. Why don't you come with me ? " I offer.

He nods and follows me .

"So hey , I'm Kiara " I say.

"I'm Scottie " he says while offering me a really cute smile. Aww so cute .

So we make a small talk while going to the HR department. I found out that he was also a new trainee like me . And we basically applied for the same department . We meet the HR head and we were allotted our departments. We were both in the same department. Great. I don't have to worry about making friends , coz I already made one . Yesss!

Since it was our first day they gave us few simple tasks and gave us a orientation. I got to know Scottie better . We had many things in common. And he was really fun to be with . He liked joking here and there and easy to get along .

Honestly, I was kinda worried that I wouldn't be able to get through a day , because I usually had Trent to help me out , but since we both applied for different companies I was worried . But with my new found friendship with Scottie makes me feel relaxed.

So at the end of the day , I part my ways with Scottie and go home . When I reached home , I took a shower and got into the bed. I called Trent and told him about my day , coz I miss my little beans presence . I slept after talking with him.
