Philip's P.O.V.*
I still couldn't believe that I had finally kissed Theodosia, and she'd actually kissed me back. I'd practically felt sparks flying through my body. But today was another day. Day 7, and we were nearing the end of the arrangement.
I was 99.9% sure that our parents would agree too let us get married so I was practically beaming as I headed into the kitchen to get my breakfast. But my smile tripled in size when I spotted someone talking to my mother as they prepared breakfast together.
"Theodosia!" I said smiling at my small soon to be fiance.
"Philip!" She replied turning around with a grin on her lips.
Her body wave hair was pulled back into a ponytail as she stood there in a white long sleeve corset top, over a long light blue skirt over a petticoat. She grinned broadly rushing over to me wrapping her arms around my neck as I wrapped my arms around her waist. We pulled apart smiling at each other as my mother grinned at as happily from the counter.
"How are you?" I asked cupping her cheek.
"Amazing. You?" She asked looking back up at me dreamily.
"Perfect," I said letting go of her as she headed back over to her spot beside my mom.
I sat down making sure I looked okay. I was currently wearing brown breeches, with a white shirt with a brown button waistcoat over the top of it. My curly hair was currently flowing freely on my shoulders.
I sighed contently as Theodosia happily placed a large plate of scrambled eggs in the middle of the table. The moment she looked away I began to reach for the plate only to have her slap my hand away.
"Ow!" I complained retracting my hand.
"No food yet!" She said laughing as she kissed my forehead before walking back over to my mother.
I smiled at her as she continued to help my mother with breakfast. I spotted the mail beside the plate of scrambled eggs so I took the morning newspaper, pulling it open. I searched through the newspaper trying to find something interesting to read but to no avail as I flipped through the articles quickly.
"Alexander!" My mother called as she and Theodosia placed the last of the plates onto the table before sitting down Theodosia, on my left, and my mother on her left.
"Coming!" My father called from his office, only to arrive in the kitchen a moment later.
He smiled brightly as he stepped into the kitchen grabbing a seat to the left of my mother. He looked over the food which consisted, of vegetables, fruits, eggs, and porridge, he smiled hungrily before turning to face mother and Theodosia.
"Thank you, ladies." He said smiling at he began filling his plat up with various foods for a good breakfast.
We all began to dig into the food the ladies had prepared piling it onto our plates. As we ate I couldn't help but steal little smiles, and glances at Theodosia. After eating for fifteen minutes we all finally finished. Father disappeared into his office soon after as mother stood up to begin cleaning up.
"Let me help!" Theodosia said smiling to try and help.
"No that's fine darling go hang out with Philip!" She said winking at us as she began piling the plates into the sink.
Theodosia blushed but didn't complain as she stood up taking my hand leading me out of the kitchen and into our little fancy living room. She turned to me glaring a deadly look at me making me self-conscious. Had I done something wrong? Please tell me I hadn't just ruined everything.
"What did I do!?" I asked scaredly.
"Nothing silly!" She said as her glare quickly turned into a laugh.
She wrapped her arms around my waist hugging me close to her as she buried her face in my chest. I laughed hugged her tightly to me putting my chin on her head, as she sighed contently. We just stood there like that for God only knows how long just holding each other tightly enjoying each other's company as we stood there comfortably.
It was relaxing. Just being there alone with Theodosia, and I knew that I would love this, even more, when we got married and had a little home together. I truthfully couldn't wait for these ten days to be over so that I could finally propose to my little princess.
