Theodosia's P.O.V.*
Day 8. Wow, it's really almost over. I'm almost 100% certain that Philip will propose to me sometime after the last day. I mean that was the plan that our parents would approve the marriage giving Philip the okay to put a ring on it. Today was a really nice day, so I was currently sitting in the kitchen with all of the windows open in my new dress waiting for Philip to come to pick me up.
Since it was a nice day we had planned on going for a nice long walk on the sandy beach, before stopping for a cup of coffee at a nearby cafe. And I just couldn't wait. My body wave hair was in a simple Gibson tuck with a white clip holding the back of the bun for decoration.
My dress was pale pink. It was long with a petticoat on the bottom, with tulle under the dress and lace hanging around the waist. The top of the dress was the same color as the rest of the dress. It was a corset with off the shoulder fabric sleeves that stopped at the wrist, with lace cuffs dangling, from the hand. The whole dress seemed like something out of the fairytale my father used to tell me about when I was younger.
I felt beautiful standing in the dress, as I looked out of the window waiting for Philip to arrive. And sure enough, a minute later I spotted Philip approaching the house so I pulled on my flats, pulling open the door with a large grin on my face. Philip grinned back running over to where I stood looking the door behind myself on the front steps.
Once I shut the door and turned around throwing myself into his open arms, as my dress billowed behind me in the fresh summer breeze. I buried my face comfortably in his chest, as he put his chin on my head. We both sighed contently before letting go of each other. He smiled down at me as he took my hand.
Philip's curly hair was tied back into a low ponytail, as he stood there in black breeches black buckled boots, a white shirt, a blue buttoned waistcoat, with a light blue long silk coat. He looked really good, making me realize that he was a really huge catch.
I mean I knew plenty of girls who would kill, just to have a conversation with Philip, let alone have a date and potentially get married to him!
"Beach, here we come!" I said happily, as Philip led me down the steps, and onto the sidewalk.
"Yeah, anyways how are you?" Philip asked as we took the quickest walking route to the beach.
"I'm great, and you?" I asked looking up at him as we speedily headed down the street.
"Perfect." He said smiling as we fell into a comfortable silence.
We held the whole time as we walked towards the beach. After five-minute of walking, we found ourselves near the beach. We carefully, took off our shoes, holding them in our hands, as we walked carefully on the sand, still holding hands.
As we kicked, at the sand in front of us, and laughed happily together, we relaxed with one another. Philip and I spent over an hour on the beach, running around on the sand, kicking it at each other playfully, as we laughed together.
We ran into the water, on shin-high, as I held my dress high up splashing Philip. After we laughed and played and just relaxed like normal teenagers, Philip and laid down on the sand laughing as we looked up at the passing clouds.
After a while we headed back up to the sidewalk together, holding hands stopping to put on our shoes, as we continued down the street. After walking for ten more minutes we found ourselves at the coffee shop we had planned on going to.
We headed inside quickly, sitting down together, as we ordered loads of sweets. Cakes, cookies, croissants, Creme Brule, anything you could possibly name? It was there in front of us. We ate as much of the sweets as we could while laughing and chatting together in pure happiness in relaxation.
I really hoped that the rest of our life would be this happy when we spent it together.
