Theodosia's P.O.V.*

Yesterday's date was so relaxing. It was a really cozy bookstore date that made me so happy. I still couldn't believe that he remembered how much I loved going to the book store. I had enjoyed the whole thing, cuddled up in the back of the book store together.

But today we had plans for both of our parents, we planned on having a calm tea session at his house. I already finished making some macaroons, so I was already ready, sitting in the living room with a book in my hand.

My body wave hair was sitting loosely on my head, as I sat there in a pale yellow caraco, with a matching pale yellow frilly long skirt with a petticoat underneath it. For shoes I had on plain white flats. My father had locked himself in his office as he worked on some random stuff for work. I hadn't talked to him in a while. It was just 'Good morning!' And 'How are you?" But we hadn't a full-fledged conversation since the day we began the arrangement.

I honestly missed him a lot but I understood why we hadn't been talking. We were both busy he had work and I had to prove to him that I could get married to Philip. As I got lost in my thought completely abandoning the book in my hands I heard a loud noise, as my dad stepped out of his office.

My father was wearing black breeches, a white search under a black buttoned waistcoat, and a long brown silk coat. For shoes, he had on his usual black buckled boots. He smiled at me calmly as he entered the lightroom area, before looking up at the clock on the wall.

"We should be heading over to Hamilton's house," Father said with an unsure smile.

I nodded happily placing my book on the couch beside me as I sat up walking over to him, as I wrapped my hand around his elbow. He smiled down at me as we headed to the door. He pulled it open leading me outside locking it behind us. My father was still pretty unsure about the whole Philip and me being a thing, thing. But we had managed to sway him very far from his initial impression.

We headed down the street in silence for a while until it seemed that my father couldn't handle it as he seemed to be racking through things to say in his mind. Then after a minute of still walking, he finally said something to break the comfortable silence.

"So why do you like the Hamilton boy," Father asked smiling down at me as we headed down the street.

"His name is Philip," I said rolling my eyes playfully. I stopped for a moment trying to think about why I truly liked Philip. "I like him because he's kind, sweet, caring, smart, and has similar interests as mine."

"Nice." He said smiling as we arrived in front of Philip's house.

My father knocked on the door and a moment later Mrs. Hamilton opened the door with a smile on her face. She brought us inside as she asked us about our morning and about my father's work. Father took a seat beside Hamilton on one couch. While Philip sat alone on another couch. I was about to sit down until I felt someone tap my arm.

"Can I talk to you?" Eliza asked smiling warmly.

"Of course," I said smiling at her as she led me out of Philip's line of vision.

"I just wanted to tell you, that I'm so glad that Philip found you. He always seems infinitely happier, than he used to be when he's around you." She said squeezing your hand.

"Thank you," I said smiling up at her. She was officially the only mother figure I've ever had in my life.

"And I already approve of the marriage," Eliza said grinning, and then with the tool of her eyes, she said. "We just need to get the men on board."

"Yeah." I laughed as she hugged me tightly, letting go of me with a smile, as we stepped into the living room.

She took a seat on an armchair, as I sat down beside Philip on the couch. The day went by calmly. We had tea, chatted about life, chatted a bit about the arrangement, and the fathers said they were beginning to think that maybe Philip and I getting married might actually be a good idea.

But my favorite part of the day was when Philip held my hand looking into my eyes kissing my forehead. And everything just felt perfect in that moment. Love was amazing and I never wanted it to fade.
