Second Match

Thank you for the help on what I should do with the new book. I am making another one with a y/n idea and I hope that you guys will enjoy it. Also thank you for 6,000 reads. I love you all and let's get on with the chapter.

Liv's POV:

In training I was told by Vlatko to play as a striker. I looked at him like he has three heads but I what I was told. "What the fuck. Since when did you play striker." Kelley says to me whilst marking me. I shrug my shoulders and focus back on the scrimmage. "Yes Pinoe right here!" I shout pointing to my foot. She crosses the ball in and I control it down. I look up and see Tierna in front of me. We smile at each other and then I rainbow flick it over her head. "What the fuck just happened?!" I hear Tierna yell. I don't let it hit the ground and I boot the ball as hard as possible. I watch it go top left. Alyssa tried to get a touch on it but failed. "Get in Liv!" I hear Pinoe scream. I then get tackled to the ground and hugged. "Where did that come from? Toby's got competition!" Rose said to me. I laugh and we start again. It ended 5-2 to my team. I scored 2 and assisted Lindsey. "Bring it in girl's!" Vlatko shouts. We all huddle round and listen to the coach. "Right so team 2 just got shown up by a goalie." Vlatko says laughing. We all giggle and I feel a few pats on my back. "So due to this. Liv you will be a sub on friday against Chile for Alex." I nod my head. "I also want you and Tobin to stay for a bit so she can teach you some skills. If that is okay with both of you." I look at Tobin. "Yeah I'm down." She says smiling. "Yeah I could use quite a lot of practice." I say. "Jesus when was the last time you played field?" Julie questions. "Um probably like 5 years ago." "Wow kid. Also if you think you need more practice then I don't want to go against you after this." Alyssa said. "You booted that almost as hard as Carli. That's saying something." She says laughing. We all laugh and hug it out. Me and Tobin stay with coach while the rest of the team get on the bus. "Okay so if you text me when you are almost done I will send an uber or I will get Dawn to pick you guys up." We nod and grab a couple of balls and start training. 

Tobin's POV:

 I teach Liv some basic moves and we do some 1v1's. "Come on Liv on your left. Move it right. Flick up. Boom!" I shout when she nails the trick. She does a little happy dance and I smile. We go and get some drink. "Thank you for this Tobin." She says sincerely. "It's no problem kid. You are a very quick learner." She nods her head. "I just like to learn ways to make people look stupid." She says chuckling. "So do I!" I laugh. We then see Christian, Ash and Ali come onto the field. "What on earth are you guys doing?!" I shout. They run over. "Thought you could use the help." We start up again. Ash goes in goal and Ali is a defender. Chris is there for whenever we have a trick that needs the ball to be crossed in. I shout from the sidelines what moves Liv should be doing. We do this for a while until we realize that we needed to head to the hotel because we have a game in two days and we don't want to overwork ourselves. "Dude you were sick." I say to Liv. "Really? You think I did good?" She questions. I could tell she was nervous due to playing in a new role. "Look kid I can tell that your scared and you have every reason to be because this is a whole new role for you. You have skill though and I can tell that you will run laps on this Chile team. You where amazing today just put that into the game and you will be set." I say to her. She nods her head and smiles. "Thanks Toby." "Yeah don't call me Toby." I joke. "Okay... Toby!" She screams and runs off. I run after her and we mess around a bit before Ali and Chris tell us off. We laugh and head back to the hotel. This kid is going to go places. I can tell. 

Liv's POV:

Game day. I am back in the room with Tierna and we decided that during the next team meeting we would come out to the team. We get ready and head to the pitch. I do my normal pregame but I come across a problem. I forgot my white tape. I start freaking out. Kelley who was next to me at the time notice my nerves. "What's wrong?" She asks. I try to answer but I feel like I can't breathe. "Woah it's okay." She pulls me into a tight hug. "Listen to my breathing. Just breathe for me. That's it." I hear some of the team ask Kelley what's wrong. She doesn't answer and puts all of her attention on me. I finally calm down and she asks me what's wrong. I don't see anyone else in the room but Dawn and Tierna. "White tape." I barely get out. Dawn and Kelley look confused but Tierna knows what I am talking about. "Ash will have some I'll get it now." She says going over to Ash's area. She grabs it and wraps it on my hand. She then writes down the stuff and I get Kelley to write down the other things on my black tape. Me and Tierna then do our pregame thing and we head onto the pitch and start getting prepared for the match. I sit on the bench with Tierna and Emily either side of me. We are 1-0 up at half-time. "Nice work Carlos great goal." I tell her as we walk into the changing rooms. "Thanks Liv. Can't wait to see you in the second half." She says and then get's prepared for the next 45 minutes. I sit down and Vlatko does his normal team talk. "Alright Liv you are going in for Alex straight away. Her hamstring feels tight and doesn't want to injure herself." I nod my head. Time to get my head in the game. I walk out onto the pitch and we kickoff. I run up and Julie spots me. She passes it in and I try and get past Guerrero but she makes a clean tackle and kicks the ball out for a throw-in. "Good tackle." I compliment her. "Thanks kid. Good skill." She says with a thick accent. I don't mean to but I always compliment the team if they did something good. We throw in and get denied again. After about 15 minutes I get onto the ball again and try and stretch out the play and go right-wing. I see Carli unmarked in the middle so I cross into her. She jumps up and heads it. I hear the crowd erupt into cheers and Carli runs over to me. "Amazing cross kiddo." She tells me and we hug. We go back to the middle of the pitch and start again. I see Pinoe running up the wing and so I head into the outside of the box. "Pinoe here!" I shout and she crosses it. I control it down and it feels like I am moving in slow-motion. I can't hear the crowd at all. I meg one defender and then I flick up the ball hit it on the back of my foot and get the ball over another defender. I see the ball come down and I half-volley it into the bottom-right corner. "GOAL!" I hear the crowd scream. Soon enough I am tackled by all my team and we celebrate. We win the match 3-0. I can't believe I got an assist and a goal. "Dude that was an amazing game." Pinoe shouts at me. "Thanks for that assist Meg." "No problemo Livy." She says and on the way back to the hotel we scream songs at the top of our voice. Bring it Sweden...
