Liar Liar

Yua stared up at the ceiling. She almost wanted to cry, but was afraid of what Tsu would think.
He kind of scared her.
"I should feel safe with him.." she thought, the tears were hot in her eyes.
So she bit her lip and held it in.
Tsu was asleep beside her, with a heavy arm draped across her abdomen. Once they'd finished he plopped down and fell asleep.
She rolled her head over to look at him.
He was handsome. Thick reddish brown hair he gelled up, piercing blue eyes, and a strong jaw. He was tall, standing upright he had to bend to be face to face with her.
It was intimidating.
Yua felt conflicted. This was her husband, and they'd been happily married for a few years before this. Why did she feel afraid of him?
He'd been so sweet, but something inside of her churned.
She held her hand up and stared at the ring on her finger.

Shota sat on the rooftop, silent for a couple of hours.
He didn't know that to think.
Chieko was dead. He watched her die. He had her ashes.
But that girl...her face...
Shota even recognized the expression she was making. The memory of Tatsuo climbing over her, kissing her, violating her. Shota felt his blood boil. He thought he might throw up. It was like a punch to the gut.

He stood and looked back at the window and saw them laying in bed. She was awake still.
Her face looked upset. She raised her hand to look at a ring.
Shota thought he couldn't get more angry. She was wearing a wedding band. It was huge and eccentric and nothing like what she'd like. He touched the ring around his neck.

"Chieko, why?"

Yua dropped her arm down to her side.
She was tired.
Tatsuo grunted in his sleep and pulled her closer, his tattoo stared back at her through the dark.
She thought she was going to be sick. Something about the dragon stirred something within her. Her head felt like it had been bashed.

She rolled out of bed and landed on her hands and knees. Tsu immediately jumped up, startled.
He peered over the side, "What the hell are you down there for?"

Yua couldn't speak, she felt breathless.

Tsu bent down beside her, "Hey, hey, love, what's going on? Are you hurt?"

His voice was soft. He scooped her up and cradled her, her head rested on his chest and she started to cry.
"Yua! What's wrong?" He pet her hair
"I-I-I Don't know.." she sniffled
"Everything's okay, kitten, you're safe here."

She shuddered and nuzzled her face into his chest.

Shota made his way closer, when he finally reached the roof he used his scarves to scale the building.
He lowered himself to the window and peeked in just as Chieko fell to the floor. He watched Tatsuo scoop her up.
Shota wanted to bash his head in.
Tatsuo started kissing her head, and rocking her. Shota was shaking, he thought he was going to explode.
Chieko sat upright for a hug and her eyes slid to the window. She saw his face and froze.
Shota stared trying to find anything in her eyes, but they looked glazed over, she was using her quirk....or trying to.
