Crunch Crunch Crunch

Standing outside Isaac Kanish's classroom at lunch, I was try to round up enough courage to make my second accusation.

This time, I had more time to prepare and come up with a plan.

I knew what I was here to do, I just had to do it.

The hard part of the plan, was just starting it.

And I hadn't even stepped into the doorway yet.

Putting all thoughts aside for the moment I stepped into the doorway.

"Oh hello Ava." Isaac said.

At least, that's what I hoped...

He didn't even see me.

Ok then, plan B, climbin through the window.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding!

But I so would have done it, just know that.

I lightly knocked on my door.

They looked up from their lunch, a sandwich one of them and a salad for the other.

"Oh hi Ava. Is there something I can help you with?" He said standing up from his desk.

I stepped into the room and headed over to the desk, my hands behind my back.

"I'm actually not here for you." I said.

"Oh?"

"Yes, I'm here to talk to Kayla."

"Me? What do you want with me?" She said in that cool girl voice as she hopped off the desk.

She pulled a stick of gum out of no where and stuffed it in her mouth.

"I know you left me that note." I said, no other context.

"You are you talking about?" She moved her hand through her hair, just like Cass does.

I pulled the note out from behind my back and showed it to her.

"I-I've never seen t-that before" she stammered. And that's when I knew I was right.

"Really? I would have thought you did." I said.

Ok so I wasn't %150 sure what I was doing, but I tried to sound confidant.

That's what all the detectives in the movies do!

Kayla looked from me to Isaac, and back to me again.

"Alright fine!" She had cracked!

"So I put a little note in your desk, so what?" She said, crossing her arms and leaning on the desk. "It's not like it's gonna ruin our relationship" she said on a baby talk voice as she nugged her noise agenst Isaac.

Gross I thought.

Isaac push her away though.

"May I see that note Ava?"

"Of course" I passed the note to him.

While he wasn't looking, Kayla looked at me with narrow eyes.

"Kayla, what is this even about?"

"Isn't it obvious?" She said. "You were gonna cheat with her.

My face turned bight red, I could just feel it.

Apparently so did Isaac's.

"What! N-No!" I stammered.

I did not think this would happen.

"No offence Ava," he said, " but I would never cheat with her! Or with anyone for that matter.."

"None taken."

"Well I still couldn't let her like you!"

"Leaving creepy notes is no excuse for that Kayla!"

They were both enragged.

I decided the best thing was to stay quiet and just watch the play...

Anyone got any popcorn?

"Ugh whatever! Were still together, and that's what matters" Kayla said, sitting down in a plastic chair.

"Ha, that's a good joke." Isaac said.

"What!" Kayla stood up from her throne.

"I do not want to be with any girl who will send my students notes such as this one! Were done Kayla. Get out of my office." He pointed to the door.

Right, no time for popcorn anymore. I think the shows almost done.

"Fine! I never wanted to be with you anyways!" Kayla screams and storms out.

Isaac sits back down and puts his fact in his hands. He was about to say something when she came back in.

"I'll be taking this thank you very much!" She grabs her purse and leaves again.

"I'm so sorry you had to see that Ava."

"No it's ok, I'm sorry I had to bring you the news. I'm really sorry this ever happened."

"Without you, I would have gone for who knows how long with her." He takes a deep breath, clearly trying to calm himself.

"I'll give you some space" I say, heading to the door.

"One more thing Ava."

I turned around, holding onto the doorframe.

"Are you coming to the dance tonight?"

"Yeah. I'm guessing I'll see you there?" I asked.

"Yep. Have a good rest of you day."

"Bye Mr.Ka- Isaac."

We smiled at each other before I left.
