Snowdown Residence
After a romantic passionate intimacy, Laura lies on the broad chest of Gerald. He caresses her, running his fingers through her long wavy tresses.
"Babe, who do you think must have killed Mr Cart?"
"How do I know? Maybe someone against him."
"I feel so bad...he was so caring when I was a child. Used to give me company whenever I went to the office."
"Why talk about someone dead when you have a hungry boyfriend waiting for you?" She gets up from his chest and rests her head on her elbow. "What do you mean Mr Hornybill?"
"Well I was just saying rather than talking bullshit we must talk of changing those tiny mounds into something big." He chuckles.
Laura approaches him and presses her lips onto his, beginning another round of a passionate night together.

It was past midnight when Laura wakes up from her sleep with a scream. Gerald frantically puts the lights on to see Laura sweating profusely.
"What's wrong with you? You nearly gave me a heart attack!!"
"The dream...it seemed real and horrid."
"What dream?" Laura hugs Gerald who tries to comfort her.
"I saw my dad in my dream. He was dancing merrily with me. Suddenly the whole scene shifted. Someone pushed me towards the wall. When I got up, my dad...he was gone."
There was no response from his part.
"And then, there was a coffin in the centre of the room. I could hear some weird noises from it. And my cat Becky, she went to the coffin and sat on it. I tried calling her, but she did not listen to me. Suddenly some eerie creature took Becky with her and I could only scream." Laura starts to cry.
"Laura, it is just a dream. Don't you worry about it."
"How come I not? You know my Becky, I saw her dead on my bed, two months ago just before my dad's death."
"It was just a coincidence. Don't exaggerate Laura."
"I am not! But today, the Detective asked me if I believed that my dad's death was a natural one. Why would he ask me that?" Laura asks Gerald looking into his eyes.
"Who the hell knows what the old mud head is thinking...Now relax and sleep. I have a meeting tomorrow." With that Gerald slips the blanket over and lies down the bed.
Seeing that she has agitated her boyfriend, Laura turns off the lights. She lies on the bed but could not sleep as something was bothering her at the moment.
