"So these are the final reports, huh?" Detective asks.
"Call them preliminary, I would say," Bob replied with a shrug.
"But we need to have the statement of Robert. He is currently out of the city, that's what his wife said. Plus I was not able to extract from the newbie that had come.
"Gerald's statement can wait." Bob stares at his superior who winks at him in return.
"Sir, about the other shreds of evidence, the forensic department has given their analysis. Here you go." Bob passes the file to the detective.
After intensely studying the report he says, "So I was correct. The bloodstain from the handkerchief does not match with Mr Cart. Which means.."
"Which means it belonged to someone else, either the killer or his accomplice." Bob completes the sentence.
"But detective, what about the holy cross that we got from the crime scene? I cannot say it serves as a piece of good evidence."
The detective takes out the holy cross from the pile of items. He holds it in his hands and says while drawing outlines on it.
"Bob, this isn't some kind of a cross. It represents a culture and the design itself is unique. I am quite sure not all people in this area would have similar ones. Because it dates back to many centuries ago."
"You mean an ancestral property?"
The Detective did not respond to this and left it to the discretion of Bob.
