Genevieve, to her credit, kept herself relatively collected for the next few days.

Bella and Edward took Jacob and Renesmee to Denali while the rest of the Cullens took to travel around the world in search of their other friends.

Genevieve, Lorelei, and Matthew made plans of their own. Lorelei and Millicent worked together to create a plan of action for the Sirens. They weren't doing anything rash, just setting up precautions in case the Volturi refused to hear Genevieve out. Genevieve had her cousin call Sirens from around the country, letting them know that they needed to be on guard. If the Volturi decided to move against the Sirens, everyone needed to be ready.

Millicent had half a mind to go to Forks to be with her sister and niece, but Lorelei argued that she was needed there. If Millicent left Maine, they'd have no one they could absolutely trust to keep the community from going underground prematurely.

Eleanor was adamant on joining them in Forks. As much as Millicent was against the idea, Genevieve couldn't help but think it would be a good idea. Eleanor had tighter connections than Lorelei or Matthew - having her there would make it easier for them to spread information as it came.

Eleanor arrived in Forks the next day.

"I don't think it's a good idea for you to go by yourself," Lorelei frowned, crossing her arms as she stood between Genevieve and the door.

"I'll be fine, Mom. The Cullens won't let anything happen to me. Besides, if they do try something I can stop them before they lay a hand on me," Genevieve shook her head. "You have that phone meeting with the Council in a bit. Everyone's back and they need the witnesses to meet me. I can handle this."

Lorelei sighed, pulling her daughter into a tight hug. "Stay with one of the Cullens at all times. I'm grateful that the witnesses are here but we can't trust them yet."

"I know," Genevieve nodded. "I'll call you when I'm on my way back."

Genevieve pulled away from her mom, reaching to grab the car keys from the little dish by the door. Genevieve couldn't help but worry the whole car ride to the Cullens. Bella had called her earlier when she had gotten back from Denali, telling her there were already 18 vampires there - and the only 'vegetarian' ones were the Denali coven.

Genevieve let out a breath of relief when Carlisle opened the door for her, walking her to the living room. Genevieve felt better knowing that he was by her side, a buffer between her and the vampires.

Genevieve froze in the doorway, feeling 18 pairs of eyes on her.

"Genevieve!" Genevieve smiled as Renesmee ran to her, kneeling to the floor to hug the hybrid. The little girl's embrace was a warmth beacon against the cold eyes of the vampires.

"Hi Ren," Genevieve smiled brightly. "I've missed you."

"Come on," Renesmee grabbed Genevieve's hand. "You have to meet everyone else!"

Genevieve let herself be led around by the hybrid, introducing herself. Against her first impression, everyone seemed interested to know more about her people, horrified by the idea that Sirens were allowed to be hunted for sport. Genevieve got used to the hungry looks some of the vampires gave them, choosing to ignore the looks for her own sanity.

Eventually Renesmee left the Siren to find her mother. Genevieve found herself gravitating toward Carmen and the maternal figure of the Denali coven.

"La bebé linda seems to hold a lot of love for you, Sirena," Carmen said as she glanced over at Renesmee who was talking to Benjamin, a man who can control the elements. Genevieve smiled fondly at Renesmee, unsurprised by how quickly everyone seemed to fall in love with her.
