Imagine you get home from work to see your fiancé Zayn absent from his usual seat. "Zayn?" You call out, wondering whether he just went to the toilet or to the shops.

You wander up the stairs, still calling out Zayns name. When you reach the top of the stairs you hear someone clear their throat from your bedroom. Walking towards the noise, you suddenly feel apprehensive. What if it's not Zayn?

At first when you open the door, you can't see anyone but on second look, you can just see the top of Zayns cropped hair. You climb over the bed to get to him and sit down by him, resting your head on his shoulder. "Baby what's wrong? Why are you up here?"
His only response is to bury his head in your hair and wrap his arm around you.
"Did something happen?"
Silence.

You gently move your head out from beneath his own, which makes him draw his arm out from behind you. He begins to play with his hands, refusing to make eye contact and staying silent.

You wait a minute or so before realising he probably won't say anything or make an attempt to look at you. Reaching over slowly , you take Zayns face in your hands and carefully turn it towards you. Leaning in to give him a quick peck on the lips, you whisper to him. "You know, you can tell me what's wrong Z, you always can, no matter what."
"I know." He murmurs , pulling you back in towards him.

You stay in that position for a while , him caressing your back whilst you plant small kisses along his jawline. Eventually, he stands up and wordlessly picks you up and carries you down the stairs , bridal style. Placing you down on the sofa, he reaches for the TV remote as he climbs behind you and lies down. "What shall we watch?" His warm breath tickles your ear.
"Anything." You reply.
He surfs the channels for a while before settling on a 'Friends' re-run. You both stay silent throughout, only laughing occasionally.

You try to think of a way to ask why he's upset but you know Zayn. When he wants to tell you , he will. All you can do right now is be caring and supportive and let him know you're there for him, just like he always does for you.
